NEW NAILS: The Imperial King of Camelot

Ah, I finally got rid of the horrible nails I had earlier. I didn't learn to like them at all, so I was happy to recieve the F.U.N polishes and getting a reason to remove them a couple weeks before their time. This time, I like the result a lot more!

The first one of the F.U.N bunch which made it to my nails, was King! I kinda wanted to use Pay Day first because that was my favourite one, but I felt like King -being gold and all - went better with the purple polish, Imperial by Picture Polish, because it has gold glitter in it as well.

Each nail blog I follow, has been all hyped up about Picture Polish -polishes lately, and I can finally see the reason why. The formula is ah-maaaaziiiing! Even with super long nails like mine, Imperial still applied smoothly, evenly and gave an opaque finish with only 2 coats!! I'm impressed and I want more.

Imperial is the most gorgeous shade of purple I've ever had on my nails and if you know me, you know I have a thing for purples. Along with the gold glitter I mentioned earlier, it also has blue shimmer in it, which is not that visible in my pictures but anyway, there is some. This is also a first for me, because I usually like cremes and glitters only, but this one, being something like both of those, also makes my heart go ba-dump, ba-dump.

Now. Can we talk about the sparkle that King has?? The picture above is taken with flash, so you can really see the holographic sparkle. And I can assure you it's as gorgeous in person too, if not even better.

My favourite black polish is Camelot by A England, and that's what I used with these nails as well. It applies
like a dream and is opaque with two coats.

I decorated the black nails with some golden nail art tape and iridescent silver transfer foil, which I bought from Mosaic's booth at I Love Me -expo last Fall. To finish the look, I added various nail art studs and some charms in complimentary colors.

So, what do you think of these? Are they better than the previous set? If you have any thoughts, please share. They are very much appreciated.

The title of the post is a little wordplay of the polishes' names btw :D It was like they were meant to be used together, having names with a similar theme, hihi.

Here's a list of products that I used:
• Picture Polish: Imperial (purple polish)
A England: Camelot (black polish)
F.U.N Lacquer: King (gold glitter polish)
Mosaic transfer foil + foil glue (Ciaté)
Nail art studs
• Nail Metal Charms from Donki
• Purple swarovski crystals
• Gold nail art tape
• Camé & diamond charms

All that glitters isn't gold - but it's still damn F.U.N!

You know, I got excited about nail polishes pretty often (well, more like everyday), but it's rare I get this excited! My favourite polishes are those with glitter and when we're talking about glitter polishes, a singaporean indie polish brand, F.U.N Lacquer, has one of the best ones I've seen so far! The more it sparkles, the better it is and these ones are definitely not lacking on the sparkle-factor.

We just recently got this brand to Finland and I had to purchase my three favourite colors right away, before they will sell out. The prices for a bottle start at 17,60€ and you can purchase them from CesarsShop.fi. International buyers can check the brand's own bigcartel store.

The colors I got, are Queen, Pay Day and King. I also wanted to get Galaxy, but I heard there was some problems with it's ingredients/formula, so I will get that a bit later.

Both King and Queen are foil effect holo glitter polishes. While King is gold, Queen is the exact same thing but in silver. An absolutely gorgeous duo.

Pay Day is a bit different though and I would say the color is closer to being platinum than plain silver. It's just so damn pretty and even though it's hard to decide my favourite one between these three, I think I'll have to pick Pay Day, because of it's uniqueness.

F.U.N (which comes from the words "Fabulously Unique Nail lacquer" btw and isn't kidding when stating so), describes Pay Day as not a glitter polish, but a polish with metallic, mirror-like finish. It also contains real sterling silver flakes and is breathtakingly gorgeous in person. Btw, PD applies really smooth and doesn't feel coarse even without top coat, which is rare with all kinds of glitter polishes.

Here's some swatches I made:

Pictures with black background are taken with flash and the ones with white background are taken in natural light. The picture above shows the holographic sparkle of King and Queen, and the picture below gives an idea of Pay Day's mirror effect. I still think these are something you should absolutely see in person (fall in love and spend all you money, you know, haha), and you can do so by visiting CesarsShop in Helsinki (Vuorikatu 22, 00100 HKI).

The glitter payoff is really good and these need 2-3 coats for full coverage.

This is about how close to macro shots I can get with my current camera gear. Maybe I should start thinking about investing in another lens...

What was your favourite one? On Saturday's post I will show you nails I made using one of these polishes. Can you guess which one it will be?

Psst.. I added a "related posts" -widget to my blog, which will suggest you similar posts like the one you were just reading. I hope this will help you find more interesting articles from this blog! What do you think about it? It will be located at the end of each post, like this

TOKYO'14: bars and partying

Well... This post feels a bit awkward to me, because I've been getting this kind of messages on social media since last summer: "lol you went to Japan only to drink" or "have you done anything else except partying?". I just want to say WHAT THE FREAKING F WHY does it bother some of you so much what I do on my holiday? :D I'm an adult and I'm allowed to do what the hell ever I want when I'm on my hard earned holiday, whether it be drinking or sleeping in my room if I feel like it. Also I feel like nobody had complained if I would've gone to, let's say Spain for example, and done the same thing because that's what you (or atleast us Finns) usually do there. But even if it was Japan, why is it any different? I don't get it.

I wouldn't usually post about drinking in my blog but since it was kind of a big part of the trip (I'm not going to lie) and also a lot of fun so I thought why not. Also this: drinking doesn't always mean getting piss ass drunk. Just saying.

Last summer was exceptional in many ways, and one of the reasons was that so many of my Finnish friends happened to be in Tokyo at the same time. Some of us are/were living there and some of us were on a holiday. My favourite though was Ayu who flew from Seoul to Tokyo for one night just so she could party with us :'D On my first weekend we decided to have a get-together and go partying with the fellow finns and there was 9 of us in total. That's a lot.

Tuomas had picked an izakaya in Kabukicho and reserved a room for us for the evening. I don't remember how much it cost for each of us, but the price included drinks, food and karaoke and it was quite cheap. We spent hours in our tiny cave-like room and the drinks kept coming. I actually have a video of Tuomas and Jenni singing 女々しくて (Memeshikute) by Golden Bomber with quite inappropriate improvised finnish lyrics, but let's leave that unposted for their sake...

After the izakaya closed, we went to buy more drinks from konbini (=convenience store) and continued our party on the streets of Shinjuku... The shitty thing about Tokyo is that if you miss your last train, you will spend the whole night out (unless you want to take a taxi home). And the last train goes somewhere around 1am if I remember correct.

However, one of the greatest and craziest nights in Tokyo started with me and Anna going to Odaiba beach to enjoy the view of Rainbow Bridge and enjoying drinks bought from a konbini close to the beach. We ran into some guys from Dubai at the beach and chatted with them for a while.

Soon after the guys disappeared somewhere and we took a taxi to Shinjuku and ended up going to this bar called PSY, which later became our usual place to hang out at in Tokyo. The funny thing is that out of all the bars, we ended up going to the one that happened to be a somewhat finnish/northern metal bar. Or atleast the bartenders were huge Stam1na fans and had Finland's and Norway's flags hanging behind the counter. One of them knew some finnish and could sing along finnish hits from years ago. I found this video from Youtube filmed by some random finnish guy and I can swear nothing in the bar has changed ever since.

I have no idea where the marker in PSY came from, but each time it seemed like the greatest idea to write stupid stuff on eachother. Here's a tip: don't teach japanese guys dirty words in finnish or it will end up on their arms and Facebook statuses.

I might've had the worst walk of shame the next day when I woke up at my guesthouse with Anna and had to go buy something to drink from the vending machines outside the house. I was wearing pyjamas, slippers, and still had the writings on my arms. I managed to drop some coins on the ground while going back to the house and a group of babbling grandmas were walking towards me. They went completely silent when passing me, heh.

You probably guessed it already, but not all of these pics are from the same night. Anyway, here's some norwegian guy with dangerous moves dancing on the bar stand, an old finnish comedy clip, Ufopornoo!!, playing on the TV and I still have no idea how they even knew about it. And then there's me and Anna and some random guy on the background.

In the first pic is me with some new friends from the bar: Tomo and Olly!

And in the second & third one there's one of the bartenders, Ryutaro, and some norwegian girl who claimed we met at the meetup in Oslo in 2011, which I can't really recall but I guess we did.... :D

One thing I have to mention about japanese alcohol, it's so weak. I don't know if it's just me having a high tolerance but I could easily have 10 drinks and not feel any different. I'm not saying this to brag, it was quite annoying to be honest. If you wanted to get drunk, you had to go to a konbini to buy your own vodka and drink that before going to a bar.

The 3% canned drink in the in the picture I only bought because of it's funny name: ほろよい (horoyoi) which sounds like "horo joi" in finnish and can literally be translated as "the whore drank". Well, you bet she did. And it tasted quite good too.

Checking out some bars with Anna and Jenni.

Karaoke and drinks at バカモンロック with Chriss and Fin, and later joined by Ashley

And now, time to end this booze-scented post with the best pic ever taken of me. I was taking a "break" during my first night in PSY and Anna decided to take some snaps of it. This picture has been my Facebook cover photo ever since, haha.

How did you end up here?

I saw this post on Anniina's blog a while back and though it was a fun idea, so I too, went to check out my blog's keywords from Google Analytics and decided to share the funniest and weirdest ones from the past year with you!

I had keywords in both English and Finnish, so I decided to translate the ones that were in Finnish, to English (but the original keywords are still listed too!), so you would all be able to understand them. Here we go!

cupcake couture arrogant
(original: cupcake couture ylimielinen)
Cupcake Couture is the old name of this blog. But it seems like someone is desperately trying to find some evidence of me being a bitch, since this keyword pops up in the list every now and then.

goth blog
(original: gootti blogi)
Umm... Seems like the one searching with this keyword, got a bit lost. I guess my style and blog could be categorized as "alternative" and there might be some gothic elements to it, but I would never say I'm a goth. Well, I hope the person enjoyed my blog anyway!

clip-on extensions at a security check
(original: klipsipidennykset turvatarkastuksessa)
This one is also kind of common in my list. Well, I can tell from my experience that during the time I wore clips and had to go through the airport's security check, they never beeped nor I had to take them off. I guess that's what many people with clip-ons are wondering. Now you know!

long nails suomi24 sex & woman masturbates with nails
(original: pitkät kynnet suomi24 seksi & nainen runkkaa kynsillä)
I don't know why, but along these, a lot of sex/porn related keywords often appear on my list. Why?? Also many of the referring links to my blog are from quite suspicious (russian) sites, also which never actually have my blog linked anywhere (yes, I've checked a few). Does anyone else have this problem? Is it some kind of virus? I don't know about these things.
Anyway, if you're wondering the answer to the actual keywords, see this answer on my ask.fm account (warning: NSFW). Suomi24 is a finnish forum btw.

wire extensions surgery
(original: siimapidennys leikkaus)
"Leikkaus" can also be translated as "cut/cutting" but my first thought was surgery when I saw this. Sounds kinda brutal.

viivi vanessa virpi
Viivi is my first given name and Vanessa is the second one. Virpi, on the other hand, is a nickname given to me by my friends and it's actually a common old-woman-name in Finland. Which makes me wonder: why are some names considered as old-people names, when they've probably had those names as kids too.. hmm.
I find it kind of funny that someone actually bothered to google this, hahaha.

where is tuomas?
(original: missä tuomas on?)
Not sure which one of my friends you mean (or if this person was searching for either of them), but maybe you should ask from the person in question themself?

blak salvia/blac saliba/blacjsalivia
Spelling names wrong is something that pisses me off. A LOT. And I was hoping that the new blog name would be easier to write correctly, because people had a lot of problems getting "Cupcake Couture" right.
"Black Salvia" is probably the most common way to misspell the name. I would understand a typo but Salvia is a flower and Saliva means drool. It's a totally different thing guys!!
(not a keyword, but kinda related to this topic: I freaking hate it when people write my name as Vivii/Vivi/ViVii or other bullshit like that. Get it right please :D I get that double vowels might be hard for foreigners, but what makes you think the second part would be the long one, uguuu).

nail polish stand ikea
(original: kynsilakkateline ikea)
I know many people use Ikea's Helmer for nail polish storage and it's supposedly great, as the shelves are the right height for nail polish bottles. I on the other hand, have two acrylic wall racks that I got from cesars (they were just laying around, unused) but you can find those from eBay: here.

children's champagne
(original: lasten skumppa)
Planning on throwing a party for kids? Well, you might not find tips for those from this blog. The only possible explanation for this can be a super old post of mine, where I might have mentioned buying some kid's bubbly drink.

lies-love letters
(original: valehtelee-love letters)
"Valehtelee" can be translated as lies or lying. Anyway, sounds like someone is trying to dig up some love letter drama. How they ended up in my blog, I have no idea. I kinda wish someone would be old fashioned enough to write me a love letter (without lies, preferably).

hiding jug ears with a hair-do
(original: hörökorvat piiloon kampauksella)
Does this mean I have jug ears? :D I used to think so when I was younger and refused to ever wear my hair up, but nowadays I don't really care and I think my ears are normal. But well, having long hair and wearing it down is pretty much your only option if you hate your ears so much.

riotcolor's address
(original: riotcolorin osoite)
Oh no, looks like someone wants to know where Heikki lives. Which makes me recall a situation that happened a while back with Sini when she moved into a new apartment and someone had seen her and started sending her messages about "knowing where she lives" etc. That's just creepy and rude. If you happen to be neighbours with or know where a blogger/vlogger/musician/anyone you don't know personally lives, keep that information to yourself and most importantly, don't go telling that to the person in question. You'll just make them feel harrassed.

can you buy nail tips elsewhere than from online stores
(original: saako kynsitippejä ostettua muualta kuin nettikaupasta)
Yes, go check your local beauty supplier, they should have some basic ones.

japan bondage live
(original: japani sidonta live)
Umm.... I guess these words might have appeared separately in my blog, but never like this...

best lipstick for yellow teeth
(original: paras huulipuna keltasille hampaille)
Are my teeth so yellow that even Google thinks so?? :DD Anyway, I guess red and other darker shades work the best. Avoid nudes and other light colors.

black saliva nose job
(original: black saliva nenäleikkaus)
Lol what is this? Is there many people wondering this, because also words "viivi vanessa nose job" and "nose job blog" appeared on the list... But no, I haven't had a nose job, I just like to do some contouring. Would you like a tutorial of it?

hairbrush that got stuck in hair
(original: hiuksiin kiinni jäänyt harja)
When something like this happens, do you go google for a solution? I probably wouldn't, unless I was super desperate. Besides, I don't think this has ever happened to me :'D

blacksaliva without make up
I can't remember if I have posted makeup-less pics on this blog, but if you want to see me without it, check out these: 1, 2.
Also there were quite many searches for visual kei band members without makeup (for example: mejibray without make up, mejibray koichi no makeup, mejibray meto no makeup, kazuki royz without makeup). Why are people so interested in what somebody looks like without makeup? Try to appreciate the look they have chosen for themselves instead of judging the blank canvas :)

viivi name meaning
According to Wikipedia, it means "lively" and "lovely" and is a finnish version for Vivian. I actually just got to know this because I was curious and googled it :D I have the impression that finnish names usually don't have any meaning and if they do, they're not commonly known nor people really care for them or ask you what your name means. But when traveling abroad, this is kind of a common question I get from people. Well, I guess from now on I can actually tell a little about what it means :D

(jeffrey campbell) lita's for a 13 year old
(original: litat 13 vuotiaalle)
If you ask me, I wouldn't let a 13 year old wear 12cm heels. They would just look silly on someone so young.

long toe nails ew
(original: pitkät varpaankynnet hyi)
I agree with this one. Long nails on toes are horrible.

i'm a bald headed rat
(original: olen kulipäärotta)
Before you go all "wtf?", let me tell why I think this keyword has lead to my blog. You all know Moomins, right? The phrase "Olen kulipäärotta" is something Snork Maiden says, devastated, in the episode when a Hattifattener bumps into her and burns off her fringe. Which after Moomintroll comforts her and says "I've always fancied bald girls".
As Moomins are a big part of a finnish kid's childhood and a timeless classic (I've watched the series many times as an adult too), some of the phrases from the series get used as quotes in everyday life :D This one is probably one of the most popular ones and you can use it whenever you're having a bad hair day, hahah.
It is very possible I have used the phrase at some point of my blogging history.

pissis eyebrows
(original: pissis kulmakarvat)
I don't know how to translate "pissis" but it basicly means a girl who dresses kinda like the main characters of Mean Girls (well, not exaclty, check this google search to get better idea). They usually have bad makeup and bad eyebrows. How has this person ended up in my blog, is a mystery.... I think my eyebrows.. look... pretty good?

kerava style
What exactly is "Kerava style", I don't know, but my pictures apparently show up when you search for it, because I once had a photoshoot at Kerava. Kerava is a city close to Helsinki.

nail cancer
(original: kynsisyöpä)
Oh my god, does something like this actually exist? Sounds like something from my worst nightmares.

what to do when u meet your first date
Well, try getting to know each other better? Go eat, have drinks, whatever, but I think chatting with eachother is the most important thing and that's why I wouldn't go to movies on a first date. Preferably wouldn't do the following either:

pictures of how to have sex on my first date
Why does someone need a pictured tutorial for this.. and has someone actually made one??

st.petersburg cruise whores
(original: pietarin risteily huorat)
I've been on cruise to St. Petersburg and back and it was the shabbiest cruise with the worst food ever and I can't really recommend it to anyone :D Maybe it would've been better if it wasn't lacking the whores this person was looking for!

does eyelash glue get into your eye easily
(original: meneekö irtoripsi liima helposti silmään)
No. Or well, I use the best brand there is, which is DUO. No problems at all with that one. Highly recommended!

first to eat, last to eat
(original: syömäs eka, syömäs vika)
Does this have something to do with the song Salil eka salil vika by Musta Barbaari? :'D While the song is about being first at the gym and being the last one to leave, I have no idea what the keyword here is about, haha. Well, fits me better than the song, lol.

viivi boyfriend
Why, are you interested? ;D I'm not seeing anyone at the moment.

flashing boobs while bending over
(original: tissit vilahtaa kumartuessa)
How about wearing a less boobie-licious shirt? Nothing wrong with boobs tho, boobs are great.

good emo photoediting apps
(original: hyviä emo kuvanmuokkausohjelmia)
Hahahaha, is there actually specific editing softwares meant for emos? :D And do emo kids still exist?

That was my funniest, weirdest and most random keywords! :D This post was super fun to write. If you have a blog, let me know which is the most odd keyword someone has ended up to your blog with? It would also be fun to know how you have ended up in my blog the first time too!

NAILS FROM 2014: part 1/3

If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen all of these already, but I wanted to post them here as well. Here's some nail designs I've had during my break from blogging. I only have iphone pictures of them but I hope that's okay!! I'll be posting each nails in their own entry.

This is the first set I made right after coming back from Japan, because I managed to break one of my nails during the last week of my stay in Tokyo. It's actually a funny story so I might as well tell you!

On one evening, after our nightly adventure to Yokohama, me and Anna decided to do some bar hopping in Shinjuku and ended up going to this tiny bar (called Caribbean, just so you know if you ever end up going there). I had to use the toilet right after we got there so Anna went to order some malibu cokes for the two of us while waiting for me.

There was only one small unisex toilet there, so I went there and thought I had locked the door properly. I was wearing my UNIF jumper, which is really nice, but you have to take it off completely in order to do your business in the toilet. Well, as I said, I thought I had locked the door, but it turns out I hadn't as some guy opened the door while I was doing my business... Ofcourse it's always embarrassing when stuff like that happens, but i was practically naked and I'm not entirely sure if the guy had the time check out that I did infact have some clothes with me.

I was so shocked about the situation I just grabbed the door handle with such speed and forgot to pay attention to my nails, so I ended up breaking one while closing the door :'D On the top of that, the broken nail flew somewhere down the stairs (the bar was upstairs), so me and Anna downed our malibu cokes faster than ever and spent probably 10 minutes looking for it, so I could do a quick fix up and glue it back on lol. I was about to have a shooting with Kawaii International TV two days later and it would've been embarrassing to go there with a nail missing....

Anyway, about these nails. I did some purple to blue (and vice versa) gradient nails using two China Glaze polishes and mixed them with white nails and gold glitter gradient nails. The seashell shaped studs added a mermaid-like feeling to these, I think!

Here's a list of products that I used:
China Glaze: Capacity To See Beyond (blue polish)
• China Glaze: That's Shore Bright (purple polish)
Color Club: Take The Stage (gold glitter polish)
• O.P.I: When Monkeys Fly! (big hexagon gold glitter polish. excuse my dementia, I forgot to add this in the picture)
Essie: Blanc (white polish)
Nail art studs
• Sea shell studs from Donki
• Swarovski crystals in different sizes
• Blue acrylic stones and pearls from craft stores
• Konad: golden ball deco chain

Lime Crime Velvetines review

idkuva

Hiiii! I hope you haven't had enough about lipstick posts yet, because this is not going to be the last one. In this post, I will be reviewing the Velvetines of my Lime Crime order now and the next one will be about the unicorn lipsticks. Let's begin, shall we?

If you did read my post about the Jeffree Star liquid lipstick, the following review will be a bit easier to understand since I'll be comparing the two brands.

Both brands have a great quality, but the main differences I noticed are these:
  • The texture of Lime Crime Velvetines are a bit more watery/thinner than JS liquid lipsticks'. Both still give great, opaque finish.
  • I felt like I had dip the applicator to the lipstick a few times more with LC, to get enough product on my lips.
  • While JS lipstick didn't have any scent to it, LC Velvetines smell like delicious chocolate/toffee pudding and everytime I apply them on my lips, I start craving for some sweets, haha.
  • The LC Velvetines were easier to remove from my from my lips than JS lipstick. Also, they didn't stain at all!

I think that was pretty much it! I noticed all these three shades are currently sold out on Lime Crime's site, but it seems Jeffree just released similar shades (which also sold out immediately, lol). They may not be exact dupes, but judging by the pictures, it looks like they're pretty close. Celebrity Skin is like Cashmere but without the grey undertone and Unicorn Blood looks like a mix of Salem and Wicked.

I don't know why, but it feels like every brand that has liquid lipsticks, are releasing almost exactly identical shades. I wonder why... Well, popular shades sell ofcourse, but I wish there would be more variety and unique shades to choose from, hmm.

Now let's move on to the colors I bought:

SALEM is a chocolate colored brown (liquid to matte, like all of these) lipstick, and it's definitely the weird one of this bunch. I was a bit worried about this one, because on some pics I found from google, it looked absolutely horrid... But then on the other pics it was super gorgeous. I actually managed to find one pic of a girl with a similar haircolor to mine and it looked great on her, so that's what made me get it in the end.

And I think it works!! I mean, when you first think about brown lipstick, you go kinda like 'eugh', but when you actually see one, it looks amazing! I love all kinds of dirty and muddy shades in makeup anyway and this one is no exception.

CASHMERE is a shade that's a mix of grey and beige and for me, it's a nude lip color I wish I would've found a lot earlier. I have bought nude lipsticks before too, but this one is the first one I absolutely love! I love how it's a very cold shade of nude and how pale it makes my lips look, without being too light either.

I don't know how, but I like how the color seems to dry a bit darker from the edges, giving a more defined finish. I can assure you I haven't used lip liner with this look at all! Cashmere is perfect for those days when you don't want to do bold lip makeup, but don't wanna go with bare lips either.

WICKED is a burgundy red shade, and who doesn't love reds? I have a bright red and orange-ish red lipsticks, but was missing a darker red shade so I decided to get this. No regrets, it's everything I expected from it.

With a quick glance, Wicked and Salem might look a bit similar, but when you take a closer look, they're not similar at all. I think both shades are worth owning.

SO, which one is your favourite? Do you perhaps own some of these? I can't really decide which one I like the most, because they're all great in their own way.

Next time I'll be trying on the two unicorn lipsticks I got... If you've been reading my blog for longer time, you know I've been wanting to get a lipstick similar to my haircolor for a long time. Let's see how these will do...!

TOKYO'14: where to shop

As you probably know already, Tokyo is one of the most amazing places to shop in the world and definitely my favourite place for it. I can just walk into one of my favourite brand's stores and see the stuff in person before buying it.

Now, this has it's dark side for a person who's used to buying literally everything online. It's so much harder to find the stuff you like because you can't just browse and scroll through it?! I can't be the only one having this problem lol. For some reason, it's easier for me see if I like the stuff if I see pictures of someone wearing it first.

Even though it was a bit hard getting used to shopping the "regular" way, it was great because I hate waiting for my stuff to arrive after I've bought it. Maybe someday people will figure out a way to combine the best of the two ways to shop hahaha.

I mainly targeted my favourite japanese clothing brands during this trip, because american brands I like (such as UNIF) is much easier to buy online. Above, on the left you can see the entrance to Ghost of Harlem's flagship store in Shibuya, and on the right some accessories inside the store.

Here's a better look fom inside the store. I bought that maxi dress the mannequin is wearing, btw. It is super pretty!

One place I also liked to shop at was 109, but I didn't seem to enjoy it quite as much as I did on my first trip to Tokyo. I usually just checked Glad News, Fig&Viper and Growze.

Here's a shot I snapped outside Glad News' store in 109. While most of the shop staff only spoke japanese, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of the staff in Glad News, Miki, spoke pretty good english! Ahh, it felt so good to speak a language that you actually understand, to someone haha.

One of the things on my to-buy-list was comfy white platform sandals and I ended up buying this pair from Fig&Viper when I found them! I was originally looking for all-white shoes, but the holographic straps were too cute to be resisted.

Tons of cute chokers were also easy to find in almost any store. Here's the rack from Spinns. I might've bought a few...

Cute stuff at Growze. If I understood correct, they sell a lot of different brands but also have their own.

The place where I enjoyed shopping the most, was probably Laforet (link) in Harajuku. They have lots of great stores like Joyrich, Ghost of Harlem, Monomania and some other shops I don't remember the names of.  Also their Fig&Viper store is a bit bigger than the one in 109.

During my stay, they had this huge 5 day long Grand Bazar aka super sales, when the whole building went crazy and was packed with people.

I also enjoyed exploring the little streets of Harajuku (after Takeshita-dōri) and checking out the small stores there. One of the interesting finds there was the Prisila wig store! Didn't buy anything but it was fun to check out and you could actually try them on.

I was lucky, because on the second to last day of my stay, Ruki (who is the singer of my favourite band, the GazettE) launched his cosmetics line Vital Material and opened a store for it in Harajuku. Me and Anna decided to go check it out since we were in town.

The store was quite small, so we got a scheduled time when we could go in with a few other people. Even though it's a store, the first few days were dedicated for the exhibition of the first collection, so you couldn't buy anything yet, only get to know the products before the sales started.

I had just managed to catch a cold, so when the main point was try out the products and see what they felt like and smelled like, I couldn't smell anything :DD Which kinda sucked, but hey, atleast they were nice to look at. I could want one of the room diffusers for myself, hmm.

We also got pamphlets with us which included a postcard with some samples of the two perfumes the brand had, so atleast I got an idea of how those were because I was able to smell them after I got home and my sense of smell returned lol.

Here's a little clip I filmed while being inside the store!
