I wanted to start this post by writing "Guess what these are??" but then I realized I already wrote the answer on the post title so that would've been stupid lol. Well, anyhow! These two neatly packed boxes were sent to me by Chloe's and I got them in the mail a bit earlier this week. Let's see what was inside!



Wooow I really like the packaging! Most of the extensions I've tried (and believe me, I've tried many) have come in a long plastic package, so these feel really fancy after that. And especially after how I recieved my current extensions; packed in those plastic bags as well, but they had been squished into the smallest cardboard box you could ever fit them into, and one of the extensions sets had managed to escape it's original package, so it was all over the place and a total mess when I got them. Not to mention it took 6 weeks to recieve them lol.

So yeah, these seem really good so far!



Chloe's (english site here) is a fairly new hair extension company, so I was excited to try out their extensions and see what they're all about! They currently(?) sell clip-on extensions only, one set has 140 grams of 100% human hair and is ~50cm long. I kinda wish they would have more length options to choose from, because I'd prefer 60cm... Anyway, one set costs a bit over 100€ which is not bad at all, considering 140g would totally be enough hair for someone with thin to normal hair. Most of the extensions I've had before, have had only 100g.

But as a someone who loves big hair, I got two sets in #60 aka the lightest blonde shade, just in case. I love to have my extensions thick enough, so I don't have to tease them at all when I do my hair and still have them voluminous. Because if I have to tease the extensions, they'll probably get bad faster than they normally would.

BUT, as there were 140g in each set and 280g in total, I think I might be able to survive with one and a half sets? We'll see!



The hair feels silky smooth and looks really pretty. I mean, if you like that kind of blonde ;) I have some other plans for these which I will talk about more in the end of this post so keep reading!



As I mentioned before, these are clip-ons and let me just say this: I've come across some really poor clips in the past, that you have to bend first in order to make them work, or clips that require way too much power than necessary to close the clips.

These clips were really easy to clip on and I tried to wear them at home for one day and they stayed on really well. I remember when I used to wear clip-ons and had to fix them during the day because they started to get loose. These seemed to stay on pretty well.

So, if you're a clip-ons kind of girl (or guy!), go for these. They do their job well.

I on the other hand don't see any reason to go back to clip-ons from my flip-ins/halo/wire extensions, so I'll be transforming these to flip-ins as well when I start using them.



The box they come in, can also be used as storage for the extensions when you're not using them or when you're traveling and need to pack them with you. I mean, incase you're not wearing them on a daily basis.

In short: the quality seems good, the amount of hair is great and so is the price AND they arrive in a fancy box. Minus points for only one option in length and attachment method. Overally a great deal, so I recommend you to check them out!
I'm looking forward to see how they act when dyed etc.


But yeah... As I was saying earlier, I have some plans for these extensions. You know I've had this hair color since March 2013 and I really like it but... I've recently started missing one of my previous haircolors and I think it's time to bring this hair back:
 

I miss the gray locks I had in 2012 so much!! And I think it would look even better now that I don't have bangs anymore. The change wouldn't be that big, but it would feel fresh to have some other color for change.

Since the gray "granny hair" seems to be the trend and all now haha, I'm sure there must be some new gray hair products in the market because three years ago there sure wasn't that many. So, if you know some good hairdyes etc worth checking out, please let me know! I know I won't be using the Palty dye I used the last time, because it was kinda crappy after all.

It would be great if you could recommend me products that I can find from Finland, because it would be much more convenient than ordering the dye online if I happen to need it quickly to fix the colour/roots etc.


I will keep this lilac hair for a few months more, because my current extensions are still in quite good shape and I don't want to "waste" them haha. But that just means I have enough time to do some research and update my knowledge about gray hair, before I take action!

Can I just start by saying I love, love, love this hair? :D It's crimped, it's messy, it's huge and it will be perfect for the next summer, atleast in my opinion! I've been wanting to try a triple barrel curling iron for a while now and I finally bought one earlier this week! In case you want to know, it's by OBH Nordica and it cost me 29,90€ so it wasn't a big investment at all.

I love curly hair, but what annoys me with regular curls is how fast they will straighten out. I'm excited to see how well these will do, especially when it's raining or the weather gets catastrophic in some other way. I've been wearing my hair like this since Tuesday evening and it looks pretty much the same even now so yay, so far so good.

I think I will try out some hairdos with this texture in my hair. I wonder how it will look like?


The weather in Helsinki has finally started warming up slowly, and this week we've had about 5-10ºC! The change in weather has caused me to leave my winter coat at home and damn, how nice it feels to be able to wear something a bit lighter.

The long camo print skirt is something I bought during my last days in Tokyo (because I had some extra ¥ to spend before going home and kinda just grabbed whatever nice things I could find), but haven't worn it until now. Which might have something to do with the fact that my winter coat is also camo print and that would be too much, hahah.

Now that I was able to go out without it, I could finally give a change to this skirt and I like it! Turns out my last minute buy was a good one.


I'll try to get back on track with the outfit posts too, I feel like lately I've been posting about makeup only and I need a change so it won't get boring... See ya again on Tuesday!

How many products you use to maintain your hair color? I use 4 different shampoos, 1 color mask and 1 toner. Crazy, right? I would dare to say this is the most complicated hair color you can possibly have so you'll have to passionate about keeping it up, otherwise it's not gonna work for you.

Some people might say blue is the hardest color because it fades quickly, but if you dye your hair blue, the result is gonna be freaking blue every time. With this color, you will never know what you'll get.

Anyway, since many of you have asked for it, I decided to tell you a bit about my tricks to maintain this silvery lilac hair and which products I use for it!

Here's my sea of hair product bottles, or well, a small part of it. Whatever the situation with my hair color might be, I will find help from one of these.

First of all, you'll need to have bleached hair before these will work for you. Preferably as white as possible. My own hair color is typical finnish greyish brown and I need to bleach it two times when I want to get rid of my roots, before using any of these.

From L to R:

Wella Color Fresh 7/19 Toner: A very strong blue-ish purple toner. As I said, it's really strong and you won't need much of it to get the desired result.
USE: I use this when dyeing my roots, because it sticks to the hair better than using silver shampoo only. This product is actually more blue than purple, so you might get green hair if your hair is too yellow, lol.

Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo: A strong silver shampoo. Great for maintaining the color and can be also used as a dye if you keep it in your head for long enough time.
USE: I mix this with the Wella toner to make a "dye" for my hair (I keep it in my hair for about 1h), depending on the color of my hair after bleaching. Like, the more yellow my hair is, the more Wella I need, and the whiter it is, the more Fudge I will use. I rarely use Wella by itself because it tends to get too dark and too blue way too quickly. That's why it's safer to mix a tiny amount of Fudge to it, to make the color come out more as purple than blue, and so the result won't be too intense.

L'Oréal Professional Silver Shampoo: A bit milder silver shampoo.
USE: If I wish not to intensify my haircolor so much, I use this one.

KC Professional Color Mask Silver: A colormask that is supposed to boost your haircolor. I don't know what color of hair you should have to actually see results from this?
USE: I've been using this as a conditioner now, atleast it can't make the hair worse :'D I'm gonna change this product to some repairing conditioner when I'll run out of it.

Tigi Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo: A regular shampoo.
USE: If I wish to fade out the color little by little. But it's not like my hair color immediately fades if I wash it once with regular shampoo instead of silver shampoo.

Wella Professionals PURE Purifying Shampoo: A Shampoo that "deep-cleanses" your hair.
USE: If I happen to have the "dye" in my hair for too long and the result is too dark/blue, I wash my hair with this to remove the excess color. If my hair color is uneven and I wish to remove dye from specific areas, I apply this with a brush and rub it into only those parts of my hair, then keep it in for a while before washing it out.


I hope my explanations wasn't too complicated (because it was for me to write them haha) and that some of you found it helpful! Don't hesitate to ask anything if you still got questions about maintaining the color :)

Moikka! Nyt on vihdoin sen hiuspostauksen aika mistä mainitsin viime potauksessani. Kuvia on aika reilusti, joten toivottavasti kuvat latautuvat normaalisti myös niillä, joilla on hitaampi nettiyhteys.

Eli ihan alkuun kuva tästä tukasta valmiina, tykkään hirmu paljon! Väristä tuli aika jännä loppujenlopuksi, tollanen sekoitus hopeeta, platinaa ja pastelliviolettia. Ihan ongelmitta tähän ei kuitenkaan päästy. Sävytin oman tukan ja pidennykset Fudgen hopeashampoolla ja samalla kun omaan tukkaan väri tarttui sopivasti, pidennykset imaisivat värin itseensä aivan liian voimakkaasti ja epätasaisesti.. En halunnut kuvata kauhean näkösiä välivaiheita, mutta kerron tässä postauksessa kuitenkin miten ja millä tuotteilla pääsin tästä hiuskriisistä eroon!

Kuten ehkä tiedättekin, oon tähän asti käyttänyt aina klipsipidennyksiä ja koska yks koko pään setti ei oo ollut mulle tarpeeks, oon ommellut kahdet klipsit yhteen ja sen jälkeen iskenyt ne päähäni. Voitte varmaan kuvitella, että ne on aika painavat ja jos ihan totta puhutaan niin multa on katkeillut hiuksia tosta ohimoilta ja muutenkin on tuntunut siltä ettei oman tukan kasvatus edisty yhtään (tosin tiedän että tää johtuu myös joka päiväisestä kihartamisesta ja suoristamisesta).

Oon hiljattain etsiskellyt erilaisia pidennysmenetelmiä ja sit törmäsin sellaseen kuin Flip-in/Halo/Circle pidennys. Voitte googlailla lisää jollain noista nimellä, mutta kyseessä on siis ilmeisen uusi pidennysmenetelmä, joka on klipsien kaltainen siinä mielessä, että se otetaan yöksi pois ja laitetaan takaisin päähän aamulla. Mutta siihen ne yhtäläisyydet sit loppuukin!
Flip-in pidennys on siis yksi leveä hiusosio, joka on kiinnitetty läpinäkyvään siimaan. Pidennys kiinnitetään päähän vähän samalla tavalla kuin hiuspanta ja se ei siis kiinnity hiukseen vaan PÄÄHÄN, minkä takia hiukset ei rasitu ollenkaan!

Tällaiset pidennykset näyttäisi olevan suosittuja etenkin Briteissä, sillä kaikki niitä myyvät nettikaupat mitä löysin, oli brittiläisiä :D Hinnat oli muistaakseni 150-200£ eli melko tyyriitä. Hetken aikaa ajatusta pyöriteltyäni, totesin ettei toi menetelmä oo mitään rakettitiedettä ja päätin väsätä pidennykset itse!

Aloitetaas!

Hi! Now it is finally the time for my hair post that I mentioned in my previous post. This will be picture heavy, but I hope even you with slower internet connection, will be able to see the pictures without problems.

So first, here's a photo of my hair now when it's all ready and done, I like it a lot! The color turned out to be quite interesting in the end, kinda like a mixture of silver, platinum blonde and pastel purple. This wasn't achieved easily tho. I toned my own hair after bleaching and extensions with Fudge's silver shampoo and while my own hair turned out really nice, my extensions became wayyy too purple and the color was uneven too. I didn't wanna take photos of the ugly steps in the process, but in this post I will tell you how I fixed my mistakes anyway!

As you might know, I've been using clip-ons on a daily basis untill now and because one full head set never was enough for me, I always got two and sew them together. You can imagine they are quite heavy and to be quite honest, they caused me tiny hair loss from the sides of my head and it felt like my own hair never grew longer (I know it's also caused by the curling and straightening, not only clip-ons).

I had been searching for different extension methods and then came across something called Flip-in/Halo/Circle extensions. You can google more about it with one of the three names, but it seems like the method is quite new and similar to Clip-ons, because you take it off for the night and put it back on in the morning. But that's the only similarity really!
Flip-in is one wide hair piece that is attached to a transparent wire. You wear it kinda like a hairband, which means it's not attached to your hair, but to your HEAD, which obviously means no damage for the hair, yay!

This kind of extensions seem to be popular in the UK, since all webstores I found seem to be British :D The prices are around 150-200£ so they're more pricier than Clip-ons. After thinking about them for a while, I noticed the method is not rocket sience really and I decided to make them myself!

Let's start!

Tässä kaikki tuotteet/materiaalit mitä käytin hiusten värjäämiseen ja pidennysten askarteluun:

1. 50cm hiusnauhaa värissä #6001 Rapunzel Of Swedeniltä, 100g.
Muhun otettiin tuossa jonkin aikaa sitten yhteyttä kysyen haluaisinko kokeilla jotain Rapunzelin pidennystuotteista, ja mähän halusin! Olin niin kyllästynyt peruukkien käyttöön ja vanhat pidennykset oli siinä kunnossa etten halunnut niitä päähän enää pistää. Valitsin siis itselleni tän hiusnauhan vaaleimmassa mahdollisessa sävyssä.
2. Neula ja lankaa.
Hiusnauhojen yhteen ompelua varten. Käytä mieluiten mahdollisimman samanväristä lankaa kuin hius.
3. Siimaa.
Mikä tahansa läpinäkyvä ja kestävä siima käy. Mä kävin Clas Ohlsonilla ostamassa kalastukseen tarkoitettua siimaa, oli kyllä pakko selventää mua palvelleelle myyjälle, että en siis todellakaan oo ostamassa sitä kalastamista varten, samalla kun tenttasin et mikä on kestävintä jne., haha.
4. Kuminauhaa.
Samoin kuin lanka, myös mahdollisimman samanväristä kuin käyttämäsi hius. Mä käytin mun pidennyksiin valkoista.
5. Hiusväriä.
Tää L'oréalin värinpoisto mitä käytin, oli tosi hyvä, koska yleensä kun vaalennan mun tukkaa, ne värit kutittaa kauheesti ja joutuu rapsutteleen päänahkaa :D Tää ei kutitellut niin paljoa, joten maltoin pitää näppini erossa. Mun tukkaan upposi 2 pakettia.
6. Fudge Silver Shampoo.
Olin kuullut paljon hyvää tästä hopeashampoosta ja päätin sävyttää tukkani sillä. Tarpeeksi jytyä ja hyvää tavaraa, mutta pidennysten kanssa kannattaa olla varovainen, sillä ainakin mun tapauksessa ne värjääntyi paljon herkemmin kuin oma tukka.
Tässä shampoossa on ihana koostumus muuten! Sellanen moussemainen ja hyvin vaahdottuva, eikä se valu vaikka joutuis istumaan se päässä hetken pidempäänkin ennenkuin sen pesee pois.
7. Wella Pure syväpuhdistava shampoo.
Koska kävi niin että pidennyksistä tuli violetimmat kuin toivoin, käännyin Googlen ja juurikasvu.org'n puoleen etsimään neuvoja siitä miten haalistuttaa väriä ilman värinpoistoa. Lopulta keino löytyi ja tein niin, että hieroin pidennyksiin oliiviöljyä, jätin ne muhimaan yön yli ja pesin seuraavana aamuna syväpuhdistavalla shampoolla. Toistin tän muistaakseni 4 kertaa ja väri tosiaan haalistui!
8. Matrix Total Results Repair Mask.
Koska syväpuhdistava shampoo kuivattaa hiusta aika ärhäkästi ja etenkin pidennystä, ostin tällaisen kosteuttavan naamion jota läträsin hiuksiin jokaisen syväpuhdistuksen jälkeen että ne pysyi hyväkuntoisina. Hyvä ostos!
9. Honey Color Mask.
Varmaan ihmettelette tässä vaiheessa että mitä hittoa? Noh, vaikka väri oli pidennyksistä aika hyvin haalistunutkin, violetti kummitteli muutamassa kohdassa vielä vähän turhan paljon ja päädyin etsimään ratkaisua miten saisin sen kertaheitolla pois. Oon joskus saanut taitettua sinisyyden pois harmaasta tukasta jollain perus blondilla hiusvärillä ja ajattelin kokeilla vastaavanlaista kikkaa nytkin.
Kampaamokaupan myyjä oli mun kanssa kyllä eri mieltä ja väitti että toi vetäis mun tukan vaan keltaseks ja oisin taas lähtöpisteessä. Mut kamoon, jos keltasta tukkaa voi sävyttää violetilla puhtaamman sävyseks niin miksei sama temppu toimis toisinkin päin? Perus värioppia.
Nappasin siis Color Maskin mukaan ja lantrasin se kotona reiluun määrään hoitoainetta ja sivelin niihin kohtiin missä violetti vielä pahiten näkyi. Annoin vaikuttaa noin 10 minuuttia ja pesin pois. Liika violetti ja epätasaisuus kaput ja tuloksena yksi tyytyväinen Viivi.


Here's a list of all the products/materials I used for dyeing my hair and making the extensions:

1. 50cm hair weft in #6001 from Rapunzel Of Sweden, 100g.
I was asked recently if I wanted to try out some hair extensions from Rapunzel and ofcourse I wanted to! I was so fed up with wearing wigs only and my old extensions were in a terrible condition so wearing them wasn't an option. I picked out the lightest blonde hair weft they had.
2. A needle and some string.
For sewing the pieces of hair weft together. The color of the string you use should be as close as  possible to the hair color you're going for.
3. Fishing wire.
Any strong and transparent wire is okay. I went to Clas Ohlson to buy some fishing wire and I just had to make sure the guy who helped me to pick it up, knew I wasn't gonna use it for fishing anything :D Poor guy, I was asking so many questions about them like which is the strongest so he must've felt confused, haha.
4. Elastic band.
Like the string, use the color that is as close as possible to your hair color. I used white.
5. Hair bleach.
This bleach from L'oréal which I used, was really good! Usually when I bleach my hair, my scalp feels itchy all the time and I have to scratch it :D This didn't cause the effect and I managed to keep my fingers off my scalp lol. I needed 2 packages for my hair.
6. Fudge Silver Shampoo.
I had heard a lot of good about this shampoo so I decided to tone my hair with it. It's really pigmented and good, but you should be careful when toning your extensions (unlike me), since they took in the color much easier than my own hair.
The texture of the shampoo is moussy and it's easy to apply. And it doesn't drip! Which is good if you have to sit down and wait for a while before washing it off.
7. Wella Pure purifying shampoo.
But as my extensions became more purple than I was going for, I did some Googling and searched hair related forums about how to fade out the color without bleaching your hair. I finally found a solution, which was to soak my hair in olive oil over night and then in the morning wash them with purifying shampoo. I did this 4 times and the color of my extensions got indeed lighter!
8. Matrix Total Results Repair Mask.
Because purifying shampoo dries out your hair a lot, especially extensions, it's super important to keep them moisturized. I bought this moisturizing repair mask and applied it after every wash. My extensions still feel healthy and soft. A great buy!
9. Honey Color Mask.
At this point you must be wondering what the hell I used this for? Well, even tho the excess purple had faded pretty well from my extensions, there was still a few spots that made it look uneven and I ended up looking for a solution for this. I once got blueness out of gray hair with blonde hairdye so I decided to try a similar trick this time too.
The saleswoman in the hair store told me I would only get yellow hair with this and be back in the beginning of my process. But come on, if you can tone yellow hair with purple toner, why wouldn't it work the other way around too? That's how colors work.
So I bought the yellow Color Mask anyway and at home mixed it with a good amount of conditioner and applied it to the problem spots in my extensions. I left it in for about 10 minutes and then washed it off. Problem solved and I was finally satisfied.

Tässä Rapunzel Of Swedenin pidennykset alkuperäisessä muodossaan. Pidennyshius on ihanan pehmeetä ja hyvälaatuista! Mulla on ollu Rapunzelin pidennykset ennenkin, eikä oo kyllä mitään pahaa sanottavaa.

Here's the extensions I got from Rapunzel Of Sweden, in their original from. The hair if awesomely soft and good quality! I've had Rapunzel's extensions before too and I have nothing negative to say about them.

Mittasin mun pään ohimolta ohimolle ja leikkasin hiusnauhasta sen levyisiä osioita. Oli muuten hyvin mitoitettu toi hiusnauha, sillä sain siitä just neljä saman kokoista osiota!

I measured my head from my left temple to the right one and cut the hair weft in pieces. I got four pieces from the weft!

Ompelin hiusosiot yhteen, jonka jälkeen ompelin molempiin reunoihin kiinni kumilenksut ja kumilenksuihin solmin kiinni siiman jonka mittasin omaan päähäni sopivaksi.

I sew the hair pieces together and after that I attached hooks of elastic band to both edges. Then I just tied the fishing wire to the elactic band hooks and measured the wire so it fits my head.

Valmiit pidennykset näyttää tältä!

The extensions are now ready and they look like this!

Näytän teille vielä miten nää laitetaan päähän! Sata kertaa helpompaa kun klipsien laitto, kun ei tarvitse tehdä jakauksia niille ja napsutella klipsejä kiinni. Tässä oma tukka ilman pidennyksiä suihkun jälkeen. Tän jälkeen kiharsin tukan ennenkuin iskin pidennykset päähän.

Now I'm going to show you how to attach them! It's million times easier and faster than with clips. You don't need to do any partings and push the clips against your scalp to close them. Here's my own hair after shower without extensions. After taking this pic, I curled my hair before putting in the extensions.

Eli näin pidennykset asetetaan päähän ekaks. Jos mietitte minkä takia pidennyksiin ommeltiin kiinni kumilenksut niin syy on tässä: niiden avulla saa joustoa ja pidennysosio siimoinen asettuu helpommin kiinni päähän ja pysyy paikoillaan.

So this is how you put them on your head at first. If you were wondering what's the point of the elastic bands: here's the reason for them: you get more elasticity to the wire and it keeps in place in your head.

Seuraavaksi vaan nostelet piikkikammalla oman tukan pidennysten päälle. Helppoa, eikö?

Then you just lift your own hair with a brush over the extensions. Easy, isn't it?

Etenkin jakauksen kohdalla kannattaa olla tarkka kun nostelee hiuksia siiman yli, että se menee varmasti piiloon.

Pay attention especially when pulling your hair over the extensions in the front, so the wire gets properly hidden.

Toista sama myös jakauksen toisella puolen ja pään takana.

Pull the hair over on the other side and the back of your head.

Valmis! Nyt vaan laitat kampauksen loppuun normaalisti. Mä en tehnyt muuta kuin tupeerasin vähän että saan volaa tukkaan. Sit lopuks vaan hiuslakkaa ja menoks!

And you're done! Now just do your hair like you would normally do. I only teased it a bit to get some volume. Add some hairspray and you're ready to go!

Mitä mieltä ootte uusista hiuksista ja vaikuttiko pidennykset helpoilta ja/tai paremmilta kuin klipsit? Mä oon ainakin melko varma etten tuu palaamaan klipseihin enää.

Oon muuten yllättynyt, sillä niinkuin sanoinkin, oon aina ennen käyttänyt kahta koko pään settiä mun tukassa ja nyt riitti vaan yks, eikä näytä mitenkään liruilta! Oon niin tyytyväinen!!
Niinkuin uhkasinkin, kasvatin otsiksen pois :D Vaatii kyllä vähän totuttelua näin kymmenen vuoden otsiksen kanssa elon jälkeen, mutta tykkään kyllä tästä muutoksesta :)

What do you think about my new hair and do the extensions seem easier and/or better than clip-ons? I'm pretty sure I won't use clips ever again.

I'm also surprised that this 100g of hair is enough for me! As I wrote earlier, I've previously used 2 full head sets, but this time only one set seems to be enough without looking thin. I'm so happy!!
I also grew out my bangs :D It takes some time to get used to it, since this is the first time in 10 years I don't have it, but I like this change :)

Hi there! Battling with my hair has kept me busy for the past week and this morning my hair finally looked good enough for me to dare to leave the house with it. It feels sooo refreshing after wearing only wigs for the past few months!

Not gonna tell you more about my hair adventure yet, because I have proper post decicated to it coming asap. But I couldn't resist posting a little sneakpeek here! It's not as purple irl, don't worry :D iPad's camera and instagram filters worked did their tricks on that, haha.

Toi hopee glitterlakka tosin on jo vanha tuttu luottolakka joka toimii aina. Yleensä tykkään myös siitä, että edes muutamassa kynnessä on ranskis lakkaus, mutta nyt jätin senkin pois. Kivaa vaihtelua!

I promised to post a pic of my current nails too, so here you go! I wanted to have something I haven't had before, so I went for nude color. The silver glitterpolish on the other hand is an old friend that always works. Usually I like to have french mani on few nails too, but this time I didn't, so it's a fresh change!

Muutama kynsiaiheinen ostos vielä tähän loppuun! Kävin yks päivä nappaamassa Stockmannilta mukaan NAIL IT! -lehden ekan numeron! Tykkäsin hirmu paljon ja luin sen samantien kannesta kanteen :D En tällä hetkellä tilaa mitään lehteä, mutta harkitsen kyllä vakavasti tän tilaamista jatkossa. Jos kynsijutut yhtään kiinnostaa niin suosittelen katsastamaan tän lehden!

Ohessa myös muutama kynsilakka joita oon haalinut itselleni tässä viimeaikoina... Okei, olis itseasiassa enempikin, mutta kerkesin ottaa tän kuvan jo aiemmin. Pitäis varmaan lopettaa kynsiblogien lukeminen ihan näin lompakkoa ajatellen :'D

Aijoo, Davy lähtee huomenna takaisin Ruotsiin, joten jatkossa pystyn taas keskittymään bloggailuun enempi! En oo halunnut tuhlata meidän vähäistä yhteistä aikaa koneella istuen, ymmärtänette varmasti :)

Also a few nail related buys to end this post with! I picked up the premiere issue of NAIL IT! -magazine from Stockmann some time ago! I liked it a lot and read it from cover to cover right away :D I'm not currently subcribing any magazine but I'm totally considering to get this one in the future. If you're interested in nail stuff at all, I highly recommend it!

The nailpolishes are some finds I've bought lately... and to be honest I have more, but I took this pic a while ago. I should stop reading nail blogs, they're not good for my wallet :'D

Oh btw, Davy is leaving back to Sweden tomorrow, so from now on I'll be able to focus more on blogging! I didn't wanna waste the little time we have together by sitting at my laptop, I hope you understand :)

Mun hiusmalliin on kuulunut otsis ainakin viimeset kymmenen vuotta. Oon yrittänyt kasvattaa mun otsista pois varmaan kymmenen kertaa, mutta aina kasvatus on kaatunut siihen kun otsis saavuttaa sen mitan että se on liian pitkä pidettäväksi otsiksena ja liian lyhyt että sen vois heittää johonkin sivuun.

Nyt kun oon tälläsellä käytän-vaan-peruukkii-enkä-tee-omalle-tukalle-mitään -kuurilla, niin oon huomannut että kun oma tukka, otsis mukaan lukien, on saanut kasvaa peruukin alla rauhassa eikä näin ollen oo haitaksi siinä ärsyttävässä välivaiheessa, ehkä tällä kertaa voisin onnistuakin tässä kasvatusprosessissani !

En hae ehkä niinkään sellasta jakaus keskellä päätä -otsista, mutta jotain rennomman oloista sivuotsista kuten tässä muutaman viikon takaisessa kuvassa.

Tilasin alkuvuodesta huvikseni pari blondia peruukkia, toisen otsiksella ja toisen ilman. En oo oikeestaan vielä kerennyt käyttämään näitä kunnolla, koska vierastan tota perus blondia väriä jotenkin niin paljon harmaan jälkeen... Tuntuu että naama näyttää super oranssilta ja keltasenblondi tukka ei sovi minkään mun vaatteen kaa. Mistähän johtuu, mulla on ollu tän värinen tukka joskus kolme-neljä vuotta sitten, eikä se sillon tuntunut mitenkään oudolta, hmm... kallistun kyllä loppupeleissä kuitenkin aika reilusti kylmien hiusvärien puolelle.

I've had bangs for atleast the past ten years. I've tried to grow them out multiple times but I always seem to fail at the same point when they are too long to be worn normally but still too short to have a fringe-less hairstyle.

I'm currently having a I'll-only-wear-wigs-and-don't-do-anything-to-my-own-hair -kind of period and I've noticed my own hair and bangs have grown quite well when they can just relax from all the bleaching, teasing and curling under the wig. Maybe this is finally my change to succeed in my growing process !

I'm not sure if having the parting of the hair in the middle of my head will suit me, but I've been thinking about a carefree side parting style, something like in this pic I took few weeks ago.

I ordered couple new blonde wigs in January, one of them has bangs and the other one doesn't. I haven't worn these that much yet because I'm not sure if I'm liking the basic blonde color on me after wearing grey for so long... Idk if I'm just paranoid but I feel like it makes my face look really orange and the yellowish blonde shade doesn't go with any of my clothes. I wonder why tho, because I had this haircolor before in 2009 and it felt completely natural back then, hmm... maybe I just prefer ashy/cold haircolors more.

Kyllästyin mun kulahtaneeseen dip-dye tukkaan ja peruukkien lähes pakolliseen käyttöön koska oma tukka oli niin kauhtunut. Ja sit ! Kuin tilauksesta, Hairtrade.com otti yhteyttä yhteistyön tiimoilta ja aattelin että nyt tai ei koskaan.

Ja ennenkun joku alkaa siellä väittämään että harmaa on vaan vanhojen ihmisten hiusväri, kattokaa noita kuvan tsirbuloita. So damn fab harmaalla tukalla.

But I often thought I won't bother to even try to dye my hair gray because it is like the hardest color ever to get right :D But well. I got tired of my dip-dye hair and worn out extensions and wearing wigs all the time because I had not done anything to my hair like for more than half a year. And then ! Just when I most needed it, Hairtrade.com contacted me about a partnership deal and after reading the email, I had only one thought in my head; now or never.

And before some of you guys say gray is the haircolor only for old people, look at those girls in the pic again. They look so damn fab with gray hair.

Elikkä siiis ! 2 koko pään pidennyssettiä as always, koska yks ei vaan riitä ellei haluu liru tukkaa. Sain siis toisen seteistä sponsoroituna, Hairtradelta oon tilannut ennenkin, joten tiesin että laatu on hyvä joten ostin sit toisen paketin lisää vielä ite. Eri pituisena tosin että sain vähän kerroksia.

Tuttuun tapaan napsin klipsit pois lyhemmistä pidennyksistä ja ompelin ne kiinni pidempiin. Tarkemmat ohjeet tästä vaiheesta tässä postauksessa.

Väriksi en tällä kertaa valinnut sitä ihan vaaleinta #613 sävyä, vaan sen sijaan #24 sävyn koska tiesin etten haluu mitään ihan super vaaleeta. Tässä linkki niihin pidennyksiin mitä hankin: Klik !
Toinen myös ihana asia Hairtradelta tilatessa on, että mun paketit on aina tullut kolmessa päivässä joka kerta kun oon tilannut. Eli ei tarvi kauaa odotella !

Ja eikun väriä päähän ! Pari kertaa blondaus päähän, en ottanut mitään kauheen jytkyä vaalennusta koska pelkäsin et menee liikaa. No ei ois pitäny kyllä pelätä. Edellisessä entryssä näittekin miltä näytti vaalennuksen jälkeen. Oma tukka jäi iiiiihan aavistuksen tummemaks kuin pidennykset mut aattelin et ei haittaa, tasottuu kuitenkin ton harmaan kanssa.

Sit noh, mistä sit saa harmaata hiusväriä? Kaikkialla mainostetaan et "uulalaa peittää harmaat" ja muuta lässynläätä, mut entä jos haluu peittää sen oman värin nimenomaan sillä harmaalla? Menee vähän vaikeemmaks sit. Mun käsitys oli, ettei suomen markkinoilta löydy mitään muuta kuin white/silver tonereita yms keltasuutta poistavia tuotteita. Tai sit muka hopeita hiusvärejä jotka todellisuudessa vetää sun tukan vaan vaaleenvioletiks. Kyselin sit parilta kaverilta et mitä tuotteita ne on käyttäny harmaaseen tukkaan ja googlettelin sit vähän tietoa niistä. Päädyin lopulta tohon Men's Paltyn Silver Ash väriin, jota tilasin eBaysta viis kappaletta. Koska kyseessä oli ns. miesten hiusväri niin oletin et sitä tavaraa on vähemmän siinä purkissa kuin yleensä, ja ihan oikeessa olin :D

Viis purkkia riitti just ja just mun tukkaan ja koska toi väri oli sellasta paljon normaalia paksumpaa (ns. "wax type", varmaan japsit aatellu et jotkut urpo miehet jotka tota käyttää, voi kelaa laittavansa hiusvahaa tukkaan ja olla et 'uuh, eihän tää hiustenvärjääminen ookkaa vaikeet!!11) ja mulla meni oikeesti tunti kaupalla kun hinkutin sitä pitkään tukkaan että saisin mahdollisimman tasasesti.

Värjäsin eka pidennykset ja niihin meni 3 purkkia väriä. Ei ois kyl ollu yhtään pahitteeks jos ois ollu neljäkin. Näytti toimivan joten pistin loput 2 purkkia omaan päähän. Pesin värin pidennyksistä ja kaikki näytti hyvältä. Mut sitkun pesin oman tukan niin ei mennytkään kaikki niinkuin elokuvissa....
Where to get gray hairdye? The hairdye ads everywhere keep saying "covers the gray hair" etc blablabla, but what if you want to get rid of your own color and cover IT with gray? Finding the product for that is a bit harder. As far as I knew, you could only get stuff like white/silver toners or products to remove yellowness, from Finland. I asked some of my friends what products they had used for gray hair and did some googling. After some research I ended up buying 5 pcs of Men's Palty Silver Ash -hairdye from eBay. And because it was "men's hairdye", I assumed there would be less dye in it than normally, and I was right :D
I dyed my extensions first and used 3 hairdyes for them. 4 would've been even better but oh well. It seemed to work, so I used the rest 2 for my own hair. I washed the dye off from the extensions and they looked great. Then I washed the dye off from my own hair and realized everything didn't go as it would in the movies....

Mun oma tukka, joka oli siis vaan ihan aavistuksen pidennyksiä tummempi, olikin sit just tarpeeks liian tumma/keltainen, ettei harmaa väri tarttunut siihen kunnolla. Olin niin vihainen itelleni etten ollut blondannut sitä enempää. Koska en vaan voinut mennä kauppaan ostamaan lisää tota harmaata Paltyy, koska ei sitä myydä täällä. Menin sit vaan nukkumaan koska olin niin vihanen et teki mieli paiskoo tavaroita.

Seuraavana aamuna kiskasin vaan peruukin päähän ja painelin töihin. Päätin, että töitten jälkeen meen ja etsin kaikki hopee/harmaa tuotteet käsiini mitä Helsingistä saa enkä lepää ennenkuin löydän jotain mikä toimii. Aijoo, tilasin vielä edellisenä päivänä lisää Paltyy sen jälkeen ku tajusin että ei paska.

Nojoo, mun epätoivon tunnelmissa sujuneelta shoppailureissulta tarttui nää käteen. Eka kävin Kluuvissa yhessä kampaamokaupassa ja kyselin et onks niil mitään harmaan/hopeen tukan tuotteita. Rupes suositteleen jotain hopeeshampoita yms mut sellaset multa löytyy jo. Plus meidän kommunikaatiossa tais olla jotain epäselvää koska se myyjä luuli et haluun peittää harmaita hiuksia... :-D Olin vaan et "eikun mä haluun nimeenomaan sitä harmaata esiin !!!"

Sit seuraava etappi oli joku kampaamo mistä ostin KC'n hopeen colormaskin, koska oon mun  punatukkaisilta ystäviltä kuullut että saman sarjan punanen on loistava. Mut myyjä kertoi et toi hopee ei oo yhtä tehokas kuin mitä se punanen ja neuvo mut seuraavaan paikkaan, Sitruunaan, mistä kannattaa käydä kyselemässä tota Wellan väriä, koska se on kuulemma oikeesti harmaa eikä mikään keltasuutta poistava kakka. Sit menin sinne ja senki kaupan myyjä sano et "joo, ne Wellan ihmiset sano etten koskaan saa myydä tätä jollekin joka haluu vaan poistaa keltasuutta" ja olin et nonni, nyt kuulostaa oikeelta tuotteelta !

Matkalla Sitruunaan ostin vielä Cyberistä harmaan värin ihan varmuuden vuoks, koska jos ei toimi ni voimpa ainakin käyttää värin ylläpitämiseen. Ei luulis ainakaan pahemmaks menevän. Ja kyllä, ostin myös harmaata vappuvärii... XDD Aattelin et voin sillä vähän sprayaa jos jää epätasaseks. En ainakaan menettäis mitään koska oli joku pari euroo.

Menin kotiin ja rupesin kokeileen että onko mun tukalle tehtävissä mitään, ees väliaikaisia ratkaisuja, ennenkuin ne uudet värit saapuu. Testasin eka tota vappuvärii. Ei tapahtunu mitään koska se oli ihan liian vaaleeta. Sit menin suihkuun ja laitoin ton Wellan värin päähän. Näytti tosi lupaavalta, koska väri ei tosiaan ollu mitään vaaleenviolettia kuraa, vaan levitysvaiheessa melkein mustaa. Annoin vaikuttaa about tunnin vaikka pakkauksessa sanotaan 20min.

Pesin värin pois, ja olin NIIN ILONEN kun huomasin että tää väri toimi ;_;

Next I went to some random hair salon and bought KC's silver colormask from there because I've heard from my red haired friends that it's a really good brand. But the salesperson there told me that the silver one isn't as effective as the red one, and told me to go to Sitruuna and ask this one hairdye from Wella, which should be gray, not some silver or purple shit to remove yellowness. Then I went there and also the salesperson there told me that Wella had informed them to never sell it to someone who just wants to get rid of yellow. I thought to myself like "omg this better work, seems great !"
On my way there I also bought silver hairdye from Cybershop, just in case. Even if it didn't work, I could always use it to maintain the color. And yes, also bought a silver spray-on color XD I thought I could fix the bad parts in my hair with it temporarily. Atleast it couldn't hurt to try. And it costed me only like couple euros.
I washed the dye off and I WAS SO HAPPY. It had worked ;_;

Nää kuvat onkin sit tältä päivältä kun käväsin keskustassa Alexin, Niklaksen ja Sinin kans. TIEDÄN, mun oma tukka on edelleen tummempi kuin pidennykset, mutta ainakin se on harmaa XD Uskon, että tasaantuu kyllä kun tässä vielä vähän sävyttelee. Ainakin voin sysää peruukit taka-alalle nyt, jibii !

These pics are from earlier today when I visited the center with Alex, Niklas and Sini. I KNOW, my own hair is still darker than the extensions but come oooon, atleast it's gray now XD I believe the color will get more even eventually. So happy I can wear my own hair instead of wigs now !

Long time no blogging ! Oon blondi, moi vaan :-) Värjäilin tukkaa viimeviikolla ja tässäpä tulos. Ihan kamala keltanen blondi sävy eikä sovi mulle yhtään. Mutta blondiksi jäämistä en alunperinkään suunnitellut, vaan värjäilen mun tukkaa vielä uudestaan tän viikon aikana ! Eli tää on nyt vaan tällanen hetkellinen välietappi, mut aattelin että näytän teille nyt kuitenkin kun en tiiä mistä muustakaan kirjottelisin tähän hätään XD

Jotkut teistä ehkä tietää mitä tuleman pitää, mut jos ette niin voitte vaan arvailla, hihiii. Toivon vaan että mun suunnitelma onnistuu.

Long time no blogging ! Hi there, I'm blonde atm :-) I bleached my hair a bit last week and here's the result. Horrible yellow blonde shade that doesn't suit me at all. But staying blonde never was my plan, and I will be dyeing my hair again later this week ! This is just 'part one' of the process, but I thought I'd show it to you anyway since I don't have much else to blog about for now XD

Luxury Babe linssit sinisinä ja ripsiä mun lemppari ripsibrändiltä, Diamond Lashilta. Yläripset: Glamorous eye ja alaripset: Lovely eye.

En tiiä oonko kertonut aiemmin jo, mutta Glamorous eye -malli on ollut mun luottoripsinä yläripsissä jo pari vuotta. Jotkut sanoo ettei Diamond Lashin ripset ois muka hyviä, koska ne on melko muovisen tuntusia. Mun mielestä se on vaan hyvä asia koska ne kestää puolet pidempään käytössä kuin muut mun kokeilemat merkit. Yhellä ripsiparilla pärjää helposti kuukauden päivät kun muistaa vaan putsaa ne liimasta aina käytön jälkeen eikä sotke niitä ripsarilla. Plussaa myös siitä, että paketissa on 5 paria ripsiä. Usein samalla hinnalla saa vaan 2-3 paria.

Mut alaripsien Lovely eye- malli onkin mulle ihan uus tuttavuus ! Aattelin testata näitä koska vaikutti kivalta ja aattelin et jos nääkin kestäis yhtä hyvin kuin saman merkin yläripset. Valitettavasti ei kyllä oo yhtään sen kestävämmät kuin muidenkaan merkkien alaripset. Alaripset on muutenkin aina hirveen hentosia ja hajoo helposti. Pienet ripset vääntyilee helposti sikinsokin kun yrität poistaa niistä liimoja tai irrottaa niitä paketista.
Mutta plussaa näillekin siitä 5 paria /pakkaus jutusta ! Ei tarvi heti ahistua jos onnistuu vahingossa tuhoomaan yhen parin kun irrottelee sitä paketista, hahah.

Anyway, here's the latest things I got via mail, all sponsored by Shoppingholics !
Luxury Babe lenses in blue and some lashes from my favourite eyelash brand, Diamond Lash. Upperlashes: Glamorous eye and lower lashes: Lovely eye.
I don't know if I've told you this before, but Glamorous eye -lashes are my favourites when it comes to upper lashes ! Been using them for couple years already. Some people might say Diamond Lash -lashes feel like plastic etc, well they probably are too but IMO that's just a good thing. Their lashes last twice as long than the lashes from other brands that I've tried. You can use one pair for about a month if you clean it up everytime after using them and don't ruin it with mascara. Also 5 pairs/package is a huge plus ! You often get only 2-3 pairs with the same amount of money.
But the Lovely eye -model was new to me ! I thought I'd try them because I've been so happy with the upper lashes from this same brand and how well they last. Unfortunately the lower lashes aren't any different compared to other brands. Lower lashes are so fragile and often break very easily when you try to remove the glue from them or even when trying to remove them from the package.
But anyway, thanks for the 5 pairs per package thing again, I won't feel like crap if I accidentally manage to destroy one pair when removing it from the package or something, hahaha.

Näitten piilareitten pitäis olla siniset, mutta koska nää on vaan ulommasta reunasta siniset ja sisäreunasta ruskeat, niin näyttää kyllä lähinnä harmailta mun mielestä. Mut ei haittaa, tykkään harmaasta ehkä sinistä enemmän jopa !


En ollu aluks varma tykkäänkö näistä alaripsistä, mutta kun trimmasin noita voimakkaita ulkonurkkia vähän niin ne sopi mun silmän muotoon paljon paremmin. Näyttää kivalta ainakin näissä kuvissa imo !
