Used/vintage clothing stores, small bars and restaurants, the birthplace of punk in Tokyo, alternative styles and what not. That's what Kōenji is all about. With these on our minds, we hopped on the train and rode all the way to Kōenji. The original plan was to check out Nakano broadway as well (since it's the next stop from Kōenji), but we stayed in Kōenji a bit too long so the stores in Nakano were already closing down when we got there. Maybe another day then!

Anyway, some pictures from yesterday:

belt somewhere in tallinn necklaces somewhere in harajuku

Woooppp have an outfit shot for once! I've never really been into buying used clothing, because I hate the idea of not knowing who's worn it, and in Finland all the second hand stores I've been to have been suuuper messy and full of crap, so I haven't found anything. And to me, the smell of old clothes is off-putting as itself as well lol.

But some days ago, I visited Spinns in Harajuku and noticed they were selling some pretty neat used clothing side-to-side with new items and they we're displayed really nicely in the store, so it didn't feel like buying something used at all (infact, I didn't even notice they were used at first!). So, as I didn't feel like I was digging through somebody's garbage, I actually found this cute denim overall and bought it!

I was also pretty impressed that I was able to find something that fit me here and is not stretchy material! Maybe I have done something right lately and shouldn't totally cross out the option about buying bottoms here in Japan...

Little streets in Kōenji.

While me and Paris were taking some pictures in front of this cute little store, a japanese lady came to us and asked if she could interview us for some TV program for a moment. After we said yes, a whole camera crew appeared out of nowhere lol.

They just asked us the basic questions like where are we from, what do we think about Japan/Kōenji, are we musicians or fashion designers (this is weird because we hear it almost everyday hahah, why can't I dress like this and be a nobody) and so on.

Then we went into the store above and they filmed us while we were checking out the clothes and took us to another store next to it. The other store was on the second floor and it would've never crossed my mind to go there if the TV staff wouldn't have told us to. Because the stairs were super scary and rotten like, and then you arrived to a little balcony and found a small door to the actual store. It beats me how do people find these places if you don't know where you're going??

I don't know where the footage will end up to, but I got a t-shirt that says "I ♥ 高円寺" on it as a present from them hahah.

Some really unique items in the small Kōenji boutiques. The red things on top right are actually heels. I wonder how you're supposed to walk in them.

After the filming, we decided to check some more stores on our own, and this one especially was super cute! Used clothing and toys galore!

They had a room like this inside the store and I just couldn't resist to snap a couple photos there. It would be a perfect set-up for some pastel themed photoshoot!

More pastel goodness. They look so nice like this but I don't think I could pull off wearing something like that.

After we were done with Kōenji, we met up with our friend Laka in Nakano and continued the night at Shinjuku Nichome and Kabuki-cho. I have no plans for today yet, but I think I'm gonna go ask Paris to go grab some food with me now. So, laters!Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-77117428149096525782015-09-25T11:04:00.000+03:002015-09-25T12:44:02.535+03:00the first week in tokyoHellooo! It's been a week since me and Paris arrived to Tokyo, and because it has been raining since last evening, we decided to take today off and just relax at our guesthouse. If you've been following me and/or Paris on Snapchat (me: @kisumaikuchuuru paris: @pariseffect) you might already know what we've been up to, but if not (I'm highly gonna recommend you to do so!) here's some pictures I've managed to take so far.

This is my third visit to Tokyo and for some reason it doesn't feel like I'm on a holiday at all, but more like I just came home. Ok, the fact that I'm staying at the same guesthouse in Toritsu-daigaku (and the exact same room too!) as last summer, might have something to do with it.

Aside from the rain, the weather has been good and quite similar to Finnish summer I'd say. Except the air is more humid, but not nearly as bad as during the summers I've spent here.

And now off with the pictures! So far we've managed to...
That's it for now, I'll try to update something from here every week, so I won't have a shitload of pics to go through when I come home.
Whoops. July passed by without zero posts and well, this isn't a proper post yet either, but I thought I'd let you know that I have finally updated my store with some clothes I don't use anymore and I'd be really happy if you'd take a look!

It works the same way as before, just add the item(s) you like to the cart and pay at the checkout. No bidding needed! I'm leaving to Japan in two weeks, so I have time to ship/deliver the orders until 16.9. so keep that in mind.

I'll probably get back to actual blogging from my trip, because I have a lot of stuff that needs to be done before it and I just don't have the time at the moment. So... see you again a bit later! x

Some sharp-eyed readers might have noticed the new shoes in the previous post, but it's okay even if you didn't, because here's some better pictures of them!

I ordered these Vault platform sandals from Unif some time ago and finally got them after agonizing 3 and half weeks long wait. Ugh, their shipping used to take maximum 5 days so I was okay with paying $20 for it. Now they have two shipping options. The cheaper one (which I used) is $18 and the express shipping is quite salty $35. Turns out the pricey express shipping is the same they had before for $20 and the cheaper one takes waayy longer than the promised 1-2 weeks. Boohoo, Unif, why are you doing this to me.

Anyway, the shoes are made of leather, they look pretty rad and.... they're giving me 3 blisters on BOTH feet. I'm currently trying to break them in by wearing band-aids over the spots where I can feel the blisters are most likely to form and walk short distances with them. The leather should give in, but I have no idea how long it will take before they'll be comfy to wear.... If you have any tips, they're more than welcome!

Also, they jingle quite a lot when walking, so sneaking around is pretty much impossible lol.

Ahoy! Seems like another cool online store has opened it's interactive doors in Finland recently. Corm.moe's clothing are inspired by Harajuku, future and the internet which is a pretty cool combo, don't you think? And it's definitely something Finland hasn't had before.

I got to pick some of my favourite items from their store and these are the two outfits I put together using those items! Which one do you prefer? I love mesh things so I went wild and picked both, their mesh bomber and the mesh dress haha. I love them. The bomber especially is super cool.

But you know what's even better? Corm actually has a pop-up store in Helsinki at the moment! I went to check it out last week and it was nice to see all the clothes in person and meet the lovely staff who run the store. So if you have time, do check it out! The store can be found at Unioninkatu 25 until the next Sunday.

Here's some pics I took when I visited the store ↓↓↓
My old iPhone 4S had been having some problems for a long time now (freezing, running out of battery super fast, broken sleep/wake button), so I finally had had enough and went to get myself a new iPhone 6.

I picked the 16GB version in white x gold since that's my favourite color combo anyway and I probably won't need 64GB memory because I have an iPod for all my music. I had 32GB in my previous phone which would've been the best option, but seems like that isn't available in the newest model? I wonder why.

Anyway, getting a new phone means you have a permission to buy new pretty cases for it! I bought this super pretty Marc by Marc Jacobs case for my iPhone from SHOPBOP (here) and I must say their shipping was probably the fastest ever! It took only 3 days to arrive, so I was very happy about that.

I was first thinking about getting a case from Joyrich, but after I noticed their shipping would cost as much as the case itself, I decided to postpone my plans and wait till I can visit their store in Tokyo.

What's your favourite places to buy phone cases from?Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-11742428982348361032015-07-10T18:00:00.000+03:002015-07-10T18:00:02.525+03:00NEW NAILS: water marbling x2

Remember when I told you I had previously been traumatized by water marbling? I promised to give it a try during this year and seems like that happened sooner than I thought it would :D I also decided why not try more than one method while I'm at it? So I ended up using the regular water marbling technique as well as the water spotted technique.

Water marbling (the regular way) - I have no idea how you guys can get beautiful and symmertical shapes on the water, but i wasn't going for those this time, so these irregular shapes were more than ok! I used yellow, orange, pink and purple polishes for marbling, changing the color combo a bit for each nail to get a lively result.

I didn't use any base color before marbling, so they came out slightly transparent but I don't think it looks bad at all. After marbling I applied a coat of pink shimmery top coat to give it a little sparkle. The top coat smeared the marbling a little, but luckily that's only visible in pictures.

Water spotted - this marbling technique is a bit different and usually only uses one color. I guess you could do it with more than one color too, but I haven't seen anyone do that (yet). Anyway, after dropping a few drops of polish on the water surface, gently spray a little hair spray to it to get distorted shapes like this.

I didn't use this technique on the nails itself, but I figured it would be a great way to make pearls look like turquoise stones! I only had small ones and couldn't find any big ones in stores, so I had to make them myself.

It was a bit hard to dip the pearls in to the water, but I figured the best way to do that, was to apply two-sided tape on an ice cream stick and stick the pearl to it, paint it with turquoise nail polish and then dip it into the water.

Would you guess the bigger stone is actually a DIY one, when you see it next to the smaller factory made ones? I'd say I nailed it pretty well 8-)

Here's all the polishes I used! I don't think I've ever used this many polishes for one set of nails (I usually stick to 2-4 colors).

I also tried out the new Glisten & Glow latex barrier and I fell in love with it right away! It made the cleaning up after marbling sooo much easier!

What do you think about these nails? An okay result for a <s>second</s> first proper try? Feel free to share your thoughts!
Here's my inspiration for these nails btw ↓

This is probably one of my favourite outfits atm, because I feel like it's all I've been wearing lately. It's comfy yet cute and I have most of these items in both black and white, which allows me to mix them with eachother or other items freely. I bought this white lace kimono for the past halloween actually, but have taken a liking on it big time ever since. It didn't have the fringe when I bought it, but I thought it would look nicer with it, so I bought some fringe and sew it to the hem.

I bought another lace kimono some time ago, but this time in black. But it's a bit too long for me, as I can't wear it without heels and not step on it, so I'll might have to shorten it before I can wear it properly. See a pic of it here.

The lipstick is also new! It's called Smoked Purple and it's by MAC. I got it for free when I returned 6 empty cases to them a while ago. It's pretty close to Cyber which I already had, but Cyber isn't matte, so I haven't worn it that much. Colorwise this is a bit warmer shade than Cyber.Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-8101908037219915522015-06-21T14:04:00.001+03:002015-06-21T14:04:58.530+03:00TOKYO'14: what to see

I'm not much of a tourist when it comes to traveling and I prefer doing things in my own pace and enjoying regular things like hanging out with friends, having lunch/dinner at a restaurant, shopping, partying, you name it, which is pretty much what I would do in any location.

Which makes me wonder why I'm even writing a post called "what to see in Tokyo" when I literally have no suggestions for you to give :D Well, in the end, this post is more like what I saw, which places I visited and where I liked to hang out while being in the capital of ~the land of the rising sun~.

Well, there is one tourist-y like place I visited and it's the 明治神宮 (meiji jingū = meiji shrine) in Harajuku (see the pics above). Tiina and her friends wanted to go check it out, so I decided to tag along. Although, the third picture shows how far I got before I had to run back from the forest to see Jojo and her friends whom I had agreed to meet with later that day. Went better than last time anyway, when I didn't even cross the gate, haha. Maybe I'll actually get to have the full experience next time lol.

My main districts to hang out at in Tokyo were 渋谷(shibuya > fashion & night clubs), 新宿(shinjuku > bars, night clubs and shopping) and 原宿(harajuku > youth culture & street fashion) and I bet nobody is surprised about that.

The pictures above are something I snapped while walking around Shibuya by myself and it was probably the only day I had my big camera with me.

In the second pic is Tower Records, a huge 9 floor music store where I did some cd shopping and bought some newer cali≠gari mini albums. My favourite place to buy visual kei cds is Closet Child in Harajuku though, because you can buy used cds for so much cheaper than new ones. And to japanese people "used" often means a new one that still has the plastic wrap on it, lol. In the end I bought seven albums/singles in total during my trip.

Below is a Vine clip I filmed in front of Shibuya station on the very same day ↓

One place I also have found myself at (surprisingly often too), is お台場(odaiba). I mean, sure it has a few big shopping malls, livehouses and what not, it's still a bit.. mehh, in my opinion. The Venus Fort mall is pretty (see the pics from my first trip: 1, 2, 3) but the shops are not really for me.

In front of the Venus Fort mall you can also find 大観覧車(daikanransha), a big ferris wheel from where you can get a great view of the city. Last time I rode it during the day time and now me and Anna rode it during the night! My iphone pics don't do any justice for the view but it was great.

One of the carts has transparent walls and floor and you can ride that too by paying a little extra, but Anna was too much of a coward to ride it with me :(

Odaiba also is one of the few places in Tokyo where you can go to a beach of some sort, not to swim but to hang out. I've seen some people letting their dogs play in the water but that's pretty much it. Where do the people of Tokyo go if they want to go swimming? That I have absolutely no idea of.

Here's Shinjuku by night and it's known for it's flashing lights and signs, especially in 歌舞伎町(kabukichō). But then again, which part of Tokyo isn't?

In the third pic you can see the east exit of Shinjuku station, which was the usual meetup point for me if I was supposed to meet friends in Shinjuku. The station was also one of the few places where I managed to find free wifi, so it was also a good place to stop at if you wanted to check your social media accounts during the day.

And lastly, 横浜 (Yokohama), where me and Anna ended up going one night when we had nothing else to do. It was really easy to get there, because Yokohama/Minatomirai was the end station of the same train route I used daily to get to my favourite districts from Toritsu-Daigaku.

I'm actually a bit bummed, because when we arrived to Yokohama, there was tons of people who were wearing yukatas, arriving to the station and it seemed like there had just been some matsuri -thing going on which had ended just before we got there. Would've been cool to get to witness it but we had no idea such thing was happening in the first place.

Yokohama was really pretty, but since we couldn't figure out anything to do there, we took a train to Shinjuku and the evening turned into bar hopping.

What are your favourite districts in Tokyo? Or where would you like to visit the most?

Back in April, I got invited to a CND Shellac/Vinylux press event to check out the new summer collection! The event was held at Blue Lagoon beauty salon in Kamppi and as the nail freak I am, it was so cool to get to check out all the new colors is person! A few pics from the event above.

I was familiar with Vinylux since we have it in our selection at CesarsShop, but Shellac is (unfortunately) available only for those who have had their training by CND.

Anyways, I got a giftcard for one Shellac treatment, so I thought why not as well use it! Never have I ever had my nails done by someone else, so it was an interesting experience as well :D The giftcard only consisted gel polish treatment, so the nails are still sculpted and decorated by me.

Here's me getting my nails done! :D The lamp was smaller than the tunnel lamp I have at home, so I could barely fit my nails in it but well, it worked anyway haha.

I wanted to have a milky white, slighty transparent color on each nail, so we used 2 coats of Shellac Studio White (semi-sheer white) and one coat of Shellac Negligee (sheer pink/blue shimmer). The shimmer is really subtle though and visible only in direct sunlight. Check out the last pic in the post for reference. The whole thing took about 45min to do.

The nails looked pretty crazy with only the white gel polish on them, so after I got off of the studio, I went to buy some big pearls and other nail deco stuff and headed home to do the decorating part. Let's see how that turned out!

Tadah! What do you think? I think they're pretty different compared to my previous nail designs and this is probably the first time ever when I have same color on every single nail :D I kept the color scheme simply white & gold and I think I'm ready to welcome the summer with these!

Also.... turns out the big pearls on my middle fingers are too big to fit any rings on those two fingers :'D Oh well... This was the first time this has happened btw! But I think they look a lot better than when I tried to do a similar design with smaller pearls, so I guess that's okay lol.

I don't know what I was thinking when applying the finishing gel though, because I applied it over the Swarovski too and they ended up looking like random blobs... And I only noticed it after I had finished the nails, so... :'D I guess it doesn't look too bad.

Here's how the gel polish looks like in sunlight! You can see it has a small blueish pink shimmer to it, which gives it a luxurious feeling, hihii. Thank you Blue Lagoon!

Please let me know your thoughts if you have any! Also let me know what kind of nails you prefer for summer?

Since today was holiday and I had nothing else planned, me, Paris and Nona headed to Roihuvuori, Helsinki to check out the Hanami festival! It was a nice experience, since I haven't seen the cherry blossoms in Japan or anywhere else before.

The cosplay show was pretty much the only thing we kind of checked, but it was nice to just sit in park and stare at other people at the festival haha. I was looking forward to buying some japanese food/snacks at the festival, but it seemed like many of the things were sold out already and the queue to the food stands was way too long, so I didn't bother with it in the end.

Since the location was really pretty, we snapped some outfit pics just before it started raining and we had to leave :'D If the day would've been a bit sunnier/warmer, it would've been nice to hang around for a bit longer.

As for the day's look, I went with light colors and vagina stockings. Yes, you read correct, the print on them is actually a vagina. I think they're really quirky and fun :'D Too bad they've taken some damage on the previous occassions I've worn them, so I can't wear them with sandals anymore but.... oh well.

See ya!Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-51454196009643416562015-05-05T20:39:00.001+03:002015-05-05T20:39:30.530+03:00NEW NAILS: forget me not

Aaaaah, I feel so much more like myself after getting the long nails back. I kinda ditched the idea of doing another short set in oval shape (that I was talking about in my previous nail post), because the longer I had to live with the short nails, the more I missed my long stilettos. Maybe I'll do the short oval nails the next time I have to start from scratch.

As usual, I didn't have any specific plans when I started to do these nails, I just knew I had to have something blue in them. I was pondering between 5 different blue shades, but decided to go with Forget Me Not by Picture Polish!

This is the blue polish I used for these nails! I love the small holographic shimmer in it and the quality is just amazing. I used 3 thin coats to get opaque finish.

I was actually planning to do water marbling with these nails at first, but I have a huge trauma from 2008 when I first tried it and only managed to make a huge mess. I haven't tried water marbling since then :--D For some twisted reason I came to the conclusion that these very detailed graphics would be easier to paint by hand, than attempt to do water marbling so I went with that idea.

Well, I guess I nailed it pretty well, but it made me feel a bit silly, because water marbling should be much easier to do, right? :'D I promise I'll try to overcome my fear and try it at some point during this year! My skills have radically improved since 7 years ago, so it should be easier now... atleast in theory.

The black and white nails weren't that hard to make actually, because if you don't get it right the first time, the white lines are easy to fix with another art liner in black until you're satisfied with the result.

Ofcourse you need to have a steady hand when painting them, but that much is obvious :)

I'm really happy with the result! I liked the overly blinged nails I had during last Christmas, so I did two similar nails in this set also and decorated the other nails with similar colors.

It might not be noticeable in these pics, but these nails are still a bit shorter than what I've had before, so it's okay if they grow a bit between the monthly fix ups.

I also tried to make them a bit thinner than before and put less mass on the stress point, in order to make them look more slender. It's funny because you yourself get kind of "blind" to this kind of things and don't notice them as easily. Anyhow, I can see the difference now that I actually made the shape a bit thinner.

I liked the blue polish so much I painted my toe nails with it too! The toes got silver studs instead of gold though. I wish I can start wearing sandals soon and show off my toe nails as well :D
What inspired me to do the black and white designs on my nails, were these nails that Koichi (who is a bassist from one of my favourite bands, MEJIBRAY) had a while back! Obviously I had to improvise a bit because my nails are so much longer, but you get the point :D

I like Koichi's style a lot in general and I think it's awesome how a man can have such cool nails all the time haha.

On other note, would you be interested in a post about my sources for nail inspiration? I follow a ton of nail accounts on Instagram and I was thinking I could share some of my favourites here if you like!

Just wanted to share these few snaps from Indiedays' blogger event which was held last Saturday at restaurant Maxine in Helsinki. It had been a while since I last attended this event, because the previous one was held during my blog absence and I didn't dare to go back then, having an unactive blog and all :'D

Other than last time, the venue was much nicer this time around and had a pretty nice view from the balcony! I asked Sini to come to the day event with me, but went to the evening gala by myself and ended up hanging out with Milja and Sara there.

The event itself was pretty dull, goodiebag was full of things I don't really need and I managed to miss the food in both events and I don't know how that's even possible :'D Meeting other bloggers is always fun though! The music in the evening gala was way too loud for chatting with people, so me, Milja and Sara sneaked our way to the "closed" part of the venue so we could actually sit down and chat with eachother lol.

Overally it was a fun day and it was nice to get to know some people better! I kinda wish in the future they would have a bit more variety in the companies represented in the event... They've been pretty much the same every year and I don't know how many times you can collaborate with the same companies.

See ya!Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-85939504446889177292015-04-27T20:42:00.001+03:002015-04-27T20:42:26.146+03:00TOKYO'14: purikuraI'm assuming most of my readers know what purikura is, but just in case there is someone who doesn't here's what in short: the word プリクラ (purikura) comes from the words print club (プリント倶楽部 = purinto kurabu = purikura in short) and basically means photos taken in a photo booth, which you later decorate with different backgrounds, stamps and text, and then print them on a sticker paper. Depending on the machine you pick, they have options that make your eyes look bigger or your legs slimmer and longer.

One sheet usually costs about ¥400 (about 3 euros) and you can choose different layouts for the printed version, depending how many people you're with, so you get to share the photos with your friends. If you have a japanese email, that way you can get the digital version of the pics to your phone too. I don't, but some of my friends do and that's how I got some of the pictures for myself as well. The rest are scanned.

I guess I don't have anything else to say about purikura. These are the puris I took during my trip with different friends and different occassions. It's gonna be pic heavy but I'm sure you'll manage!

I wanted to start this post by writing "Guess what these are??" but then I realized I already wrote the answer on the post title so that would've been stupid lol. Well, anyhow! These two neatly packed boxes were sent to me by Chloe's and I got them in the mail a bit earlier this week. Let's see what was inside!

Wooow I really like the packaging! Most of the extensions I've tried (and believe me, I've tried many) have come in a long plastic package, so these feel really fancy after that. And especially after how I recieved my current extensions; packed in those plastic bags as well, but they had been squished into the smallest cardboard box you could ever fit them into, and one of the extensions sets had managed to escape it's original package, so it was all over the place and a total mess when I got them. Not to mention it took 6 weeks to recieve them lol.

So yeah, these seem really good so far!

Chloe's (english site here) is a fairly new hair extension company, so I was excited to try out their extensions and see what they're all about! They currently(?) sell clip-on extensions only, one set has 140 grams of 100% human hair and is ~50cm long. I kinda wish they would have more length options to choose from, because I'd prefer 60cm... Anyway, one set costs a bit over 100€ which is not bad at all, considering 140g would totally be enough hair for someone with thin to normal hair. Most of the extensions I've had before, have had only 100g.

But as a someone who loves big hair, I got two sets in #60 aka the lightest blonde shade, just in case. I love to have my extensions thick enough, so I don't have to tease them at all when I do my hair and still have them voluminous. Because if I have to tease the extensions, they'll probably get bad faster than they normally would.

BUT, as there were 140g in each set and 280g in total, I think I might be able to survive with one and a half sets? We'll see!

The hair feels silky smooth and looks really pretty. I mean, if you like that kind of blonde ;) I have some other plans for these which I will talk about more in the end of this post so keep reading!

As I mentioned before, these are clip-ons and let me just say this: I've come across some really poor clips in the past, that you have to bend first in order to make them work, or clips that require way too much power than necessary to close the clips.

These clips were really easy to clip on and I tried to wear them at home for one day and they stayed on really well. I remember when I used to wear clip-ons and had to fix them during the day because they started to get loose. These seemed to stay on pretty well.

So, if you're a clip-ons kind of girl (or guy!), go for these. They do their job well.

I on the other hand don't see any reason to go back to clip-ons from my flip-ins/halo/wire extensions, so I'll be transforming these to flip-ins as well when I start using them.

The box they come in, can also be used as storage for the extensions when you're not using them or when you're traveling and need to pack them with you. I mean, incase you're not wearing them on a daily basis.

In short: the quality seems good, the amount of hair is great and so is the price AND they arrive in a fancy box. Minus points for only one option in length and attachment method. Overally a great deal, so I recommend you to check them out!
I'm looking forward to see how they act when dyed etc.

But yeah... As I was saying earlier, I have some plans for these extensions. You know I've had this hair color since March 2013 and I really like it but... I've recently started missing one of my previous haircolors and I think it's time to bring this hair back:

I miss the gray locks I had in 2012 so much!! And I think it would look even better now that I don't have bangs anymore. The change wouldn't be that big, but it would feel fresh to have some other color for change.

Since the gray "granny hair" seems to be the trend and all now haha, I'm sure there must be some new gray hair products in the market because three years ago there sure wasn't that many. So, if you know some good hairdyes etc worth checking out, please let me know! I know I won't be using the Palty dye I used the last time, because it was kinda crappy after all.

It would be great if you could recommend me products that I can find from Finland, because it would be much more convenient than ordering the dye online if I happen to need it quickly to fix the colour/roots etc.

I will keep this lilac hair for a few months more, because my current extensions are still in quite good shape and I don't want to "waste" them haha. But that just means I have enough time to do some research and update my knowledge about gray hair, before I take action!

Have a great weekend!
A bit more casual outfit this time! This is the kind of outfit I find myself wearing pretty often. A long shirt + leggings combo might just the easiest and comfiest choice for work and hanging out with friends when you have nothing special planned.

I've actually had this sweater for a couple years already, but just realized I've never showed it to you here before! I like it a lot and I have a similar one in yellow which I've worn quite a lot too. Long, baggy shirts/sweaters and tops in general are my favourites because they're so comfy and look good with pretty much any bottom you wanna wear.

Talking about bottoms, I haven't really worn jeans at all for the past year. I prefer short bottoms such as shorts, skirts, rompers etc. Winters can be tricky with short bottoms and jeans often feel too stiff for my liking, so I've become a leggings-person and I'm not even ashamed about it. As long as you cover your bum, I see nothing wrong about wearing leggings as pants :D Thank god summer is coming, so I can soon ditch long bottoms completely.

Btw, taking outfit pics at your studio apartment is surprisingly hard if you don't want to have the same background in every post. Just saying, haha.

See ya!Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com24tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-65504747896444494522015-04-08T16:46:00.002+03:002015-04-08T16:46:13.654+03:00I'm in a book!

How many of you have heard of a book called "Blog by the book - blogiopas" (blogiopas = blog guide)? How many of you actually own it? Great. If you do, you've probably found a familiar face on it's pages!

If you still have no idea what the hell I'm talking about, let me tell you: couple years back, I was asked by Miki if I was interested in being included in a book she was currently planning back then. You bet I was! I was excited to get to a part of this project and started waiting for more details.

In summer of 2013 we had two photoshoots together for the book. One outdoors and one in the studio. We weren't allowed to mention anything about the book at this point, so the only thing I posted were these 2 pics on Instagram (one, two).

Later came the interviews, handled via email by Noora, who's the other pair of the fabulous couple. After that began the waiting for the finished book. I can only imagine how much work it is to put together an actual book!

In September of 2014 the long wait was finally over and the book was published! A publishing party was held and each of us bloggers got two copies of the book for ourselves. I gave the other one to my parents and kept one for myself.

The finished book looks amazing! The layout of the book is cute, but still looks professional and definitely is loyal to the style of it's authors.

The book contains tips for blogging, such as how to start a blog, what you should know when designing a layout for the blog and when writing the posts, how to come up with a blog name, how to deal with comments and interract with your readers. Also some good-to-know stuff about blogging and the law is included.

After all the blog basics, it also has interviews and tips from 17 different finnish bloggers, me being one of them!

Each blogger has four personal pages in the book which tell a little story of the history of the blog, what are their strong points and what kind of blog they are running.

All of us were asked to give 5 tips for blogging, and here's mine:

1. You can find your personal style with the help of blogging.
2. In order to stand out from the sea of blogs, basic coding skills are good to learn.
3. To study the code, try solving smaller problems first.
4. If you're running a quality blog, you can use it as a business card when applying for jobs.
5. Your blog's name might need an update, if it starts feeling foreign to you.

I don't know if anyone paid any attention to my nails in the previous posts, BUT THEY'RE SHORT. I CHOPPED THEM OFF AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LIVE ANYMORE. Okay, I didn't "chop" them off, I used a file and they're not exactly short, but they're short according to my standards.

The reason why I decided to have short(er) nails this time, was because I would've had to file down the length anyway and rebuild them, because they were starting to get crooked (this is something I do every three months, because I want to have my nails straight, so they don't give off a witchy old woman -vibe, being so long and everything).

So I thought, why not try something new while I'm at it? I could do shorter nails without removing everything just yet. And here's what I came up with.

I wanted to try the square shape, because I've never had that before and something about the C-curve fascinates me (but I totally forgot to take pics of that...). Anyway. Good practise, but I think I won't be doing this shape again for a while. I filed off 3cm of my previous length so these feel really short to me, but what makes the most difference, is the shape.

I'm so used to having stilettos and have zero problems dealing with them and the main difference between these two shapes, is that it is so much harder to focus my touches with these! Because stilettos are pointy, you have one tiny "sharp" area you use when touching things, these on the other hand, have a much larger "touching area" or whatever I should call it.

So it makes me feel a bit clumsy at times. Doing my hair feels especially weird, because I use my long nails for combing it, parting my hair and it feels good to be able to touch my scalp. With these I can't and it does feel weird, when you're used to basically having combs and brushes as your hands instead lol. Does that sound weird?

On the upside though, picking up coins from my wallet is faster, but I think that's mostly because of the length, not the shape.

I finally got to use Pay Day! It's sooo pretty and I had to paint my toe nails with it too, haha. So sparkly. The other colors I picked were Look, Don't Tusk, an off-white creme by Color Club and Camelot, a black creme by A England, which has been seen often in this blog before too.

For decorations, I used some water decals, silver nail art tape and studs. I wish I would've had bigger pearls to use, so they would've looked more like this, instead of what ended up on my nails...

For some reason, to me these look like they could be wedding nails... I don't know, what do you think? Too bad I don't have any upcoming weddings to attend!

I don't know if I will return to my usual shape and length yet.. I'm kinda tempted to try an oval shape of this length, with really simple and plain decorations next. I kinda have a vision in my head but we'll see!

The long stilettos are what I'm most comfortable with, but atleast you don't get to say I never try anything new :D

Hey everyone! As I said in my previous post, I finally have a new computer! I got a 15" Macbook Pro and wow it feels different to blog with a computer that actually works as it should :'D My old one was super slow but it didn't really bother me that much, because I was so used to it. My friends always complained about it though...

Well, not gonna talk any more about computers, because this post in about something else.
Did anyone think I actually got my nose pierced when I posted this picture on Instagram? Well, I didn't (hi mom! you don't have to worry♡), because I don't want to get any visible piercings. I did take a few new ones to my ear recently and you can see a pic of them here.

ANYWAY, I ordered these faux septums from eBay and got them a while ago. I've seen many cool people wear this kind of fake piercing lately and thought they looked nice, so I wanted to give them a try as well!

I ordered two different ones, one in gold and one in silver. Both were 6,58€ and the shipping took about one week, so it was pretty fast too. You can find the seller here.

I took some pics of me wearing them, so you can see how they actually look like! I was feeling lazy and didn't feel like doing my hair, so I wore my old wig from last halloween for these pics. In the end, I don't know if it would've been faster to actually wash and do my hair, because the lace front of this wig was more visible in these pics than I would've liked, so I had to fix it with Photoshop.... Well, I hope you don't mind my unnatural hairline in these pics :'D

Here's how the gold one looks like! I think it goes great with a red lipstick and other golden jewelry. Which reminds me, I should buy golden jewelry for my ears as well, because I don't want them to clash if I want to have my hair up and wear this one.

I actually enjoy this kind of ornamental piercing jewelry on septums way more than plain regular ones.

And here's the silver one! I've worn this one a few times outside my aparment already, because silver is much easier to pair with other jewelry I might wanna wear. In these pics I'm also wearing a black liquid lipstick from LA Splash, which I got a while ago. It lasts great and all, but damn it smells bad when I have to apply it :'D Like gasoline or motor oil, ughhhh. So it's name, "Venom" fits pretty well lol.

Both of these septums were actually a little bit too big for my nose, but I was able to fix it easily with a pair of pliers. I mean, they did stay on, but I wanted them to be a bit tighter so I don't have to worry about them falling off.

Anyway, which one did you like better? Or do you like septum piercings at all? Is wearing fake piercings lame or totally cool? Okay, here's the second set of nails in the series! I know I said a while ago that I don't particularly enjoy theme nails, but if it's a character I like, then it's okay.

I've seen japanese nail artist use a lot of Barbie -themed nail decorations and when I came across these stickers while visiting the Barbie store in Harajuku, I couldn't leave without buying a couple sheets.

I bought one sheet with cartoon Barbie designs and another one with more realistic, photograph like designs. I had hard time deciding which one I should get, the regular Barbie/Ken -sheet or one where Barbie had pastel colored hair. In the end I decided to go with the regular Barbie/Ken one!

Because these nails had a Barbie theme, pink was obviously one of the colors I had to use. The rest of the colors choices I just based on the stickers.

The pink hearts are sculpted with clear acryl and then painted pink with nail polish and the color block -designs on my middle finger, ring finger and thumb are handpainted btw. I just added nail art tape over the outlines to make it look more clean.

The sticker on my thumb nail was so huge it made me wonder if anyone else besides me could have even used it... Well, good for me! I wish I could find bigger stickers/decals like these more often.

Oh btw, I should get a new laptop today, so I can finally answer the comments you've left on my previous posts! Writing replies on iPad sucks, so I've kinda avoided that....

Hey peeps! Remember when I told you I wanted to buy the Venus palette from LC, but the recent incidents with the company have made me reconsider my options? I didn't wanna buy separate eyeshadows either, because a palette would be so much more convenient for me. I think I have now found a pretty good alternative for the palette.

So, I was at the Hair & Beauty 2015 expo a couple weeks back and walked past Grimas' booth and noticed they had some pretty nice looking eyeshadows there. Most of my eyeshadows for everyday use are from them and I think their quality-price ratio is really good. I decided to come back the next day and see if I could find dupes for all the colors in the Venus palette.

I saved pics of the original LC palette on my iPad and walked up to their booth, showed the pics I had on my iPad and their sales person helped me to pick colors that would be the best match. Here's my custom palette:

While doing some investigation the night before, I found out I already had colors that matched Icon and Creation, so I only had to buy 6 colors. The six colors cost me 20€ in total and the lady at the booth was so sweet and sent me some eyeshadow bases and caps via mail for free, so I could attach the other eyeshadow buttons I had to the palette!

Let's see how they look swatched:

I think 755 and 556 could definitely use some eyeshadow primer (which I don't have yet btw and I should buy one soon. I'm thinking about buying UDPP, is that good or would you recommend something even better?) but otherwise I'm pretty impressed!

I mostly wanted to get the Venus palette because of it's red shades, so the first look I did is pretty... red :--D I'm not really used to using "visible" eyeshadows, and have used neutrals and browns only for the past few years, so this takes some getting used to.

I don't really know what happened with the focus of this pic, but I think the red shades compliment my green eyes pretty nicely!

As you can probably tell, I'm still getting used to all the blending and fancy cut crease stuff... But I'll get there someday! I promise :D Close-ups like these make me feel so insecure about my nonexisting skills when it comes to makeup... boohoo.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the post! Maybe this was helpful for someone who was also looking to get their hands on the Venus palette :D Let me know what you think!

.............................

Btw... I had the worst morning ever today, as I woke up to an awful sound coming from my laptop (yes, it was loud enough to wake me up at 7:00am), so I immediately shut it down. When I tried to restart it, nothing happened and after 10minutes of waiting, there was a a text on the screen that said "Operating System not found".

So... I guess my laptop had reached it's limit. The good thing is that I had most of my photos and music on my external hard drive so nothing super important was lost. Though there was some graphics stuff and other documents I wish I'll find a way to save, but yeah. I do not have a computer at the moment.

I have some ready blog posts waiting in my drafts, so this shouldn't affect my blogging schedule, but I can't promise anything 100%. We'll see how soon I'm able to get a new laptop. I hope your weekends have started better than mine :'D

I mean it, this post is gonna be filled with food pictures.

I don't really know what's the thing with taking food pictures, but everyone, me included, seems to be doing it almost everytime they eat out. Why is it so much fun to snap a pic of your plate before you dig in? :D Well, I do not know the answer to that, but since I snapped quite a few during my trip I thought I might as well dump them here!

My favourite kind of places to eat at were different izakayas. When you're not sure what and how much you want to eat, it's super easy to walk into one and order a few of the various small dishes they offer for small prices. It was also a good choice when you want to share your food with your friends. It's not a part of finnish culture so share your food, but it's very common in Asia.

A thing worth mentioning about ordering food in an izakaya is that you often have a tablet-like thingy on your table that has a digital menu you can use to order the things you want. This way you don't need to call for a waiter, because your order goes straight to the kitchen and will be brought to you shortly.

I don't know if I should be ashamed, but the sushi in these pictures was the only sushi I ate during the whole trip... :D But I figured I'd try other japanese foods instead of sushi, because that I can get in Finland as well. What I especially liked to eat at izakayas, was 餃子 (gyōza = dumplings), 唐揚げ (karaage = japanese style fried chicken) and おむそば (omusoba = beef and noodles with an omelette on top). The fried avocado on left in the pic above was quite interesting too.

As I mentioned in my post about bars & partying as well, izakayas usually offer 飲み放題 (nomihōdai = drink-all-you-want menu) too. For a certain price you can order as many drinks as you want for a limited time (usually 2 hours or something).

On one of the days I met up with Jojo and her friends for some shopping time and food, and we ended up going to this 焼き肉 (yakiniku = japanese style barbeque) place in Harajuku. Which basically means you order different kinds of thin sliced meat and vegetables that will be brought to you raw and you cook them on your table grill.

I went to this kind of restaurant on my last trip too, but damn, I still find them scary. It gets quite hot because you're sitting in front of an open fire and at one point the flames got too high and I was so surprised I actually threw my pliers away lol. The blue/transparent glass seen in the pics was filled with water, so you could pour it on the flames if they got too wild.... Still, scary. But super tasty!!

I'm not really a big fan of desserts, but I had a few of those too! One thing I really wanted to try out was かき氷 (kakigōri = shaved ice, flavored with syrup, fruit and condensed milk) because I've heard it's a popular dessert during the hot summer season and helps you to cool down. Well I don't know if helped at all and I didn't really like it that much... It was literally like eating ice and stawberry syrup, ugh. But atleast I tried it!

The cute penguin shaped chocolate thing was filled with mousse and fruits! It was pretty good, but the main reason for buying it was because me and Anna thought they had wi-fi in that cafe in Ikebukuro but they didn't, hahaha.

On the left you can see a pork with rice dish I often had as a take out from Yoshinoya on my way home. They had most of the take away dishes in 3-4 different sizes and they were super cheap and tasty, so it was easy to grab one for a evening snack.

And on the right is a とんかつ (tonkatsu = pork cutlet) dish I had at Jonathan's. I sometimes feel a bit baffled with japanese meals because they often come with so many different things I have no idea what they are and how I'm supposed to eat them... Well, I can always pull out the バカ外人 (baka gaijin = stupid foreigner) card if someone gives me a disapproving look.
Even though Tokyo is full of different theme restaurants, I only managed to visit one, which was the Rilakkuma Café at Tower Recods in Shibuya. And that was kinda spontaneous too, since I just tagged along with Anna and Rena before the GazettE live. When we got escorted to the table for 4 people and there was only 3 of us, the waitress brought a big Rilakkuma plushie to sit with us on the 4th seat, aw.

The cafe mostly served different pastries and drinks, all with cute Rilakkuma designs, but I decided to go with the curry because I was feeling hungry. I don't particularly enjoy curry (or indian food in general, everything tastes like that freaking tikka masala lol), but japanese curry is really good!

I felt bad because I had to destroy the cute food, but let's face it, it was gonna get eaten anyway haha. On the left you can see a regular japanese curry from CoCo's for comparison :'D That was what I sometimes had for hangover food. Both were delicious!

I also had some non-japanese food during my trip, such as T.G.I Friday's delicious avocado burger, where I went with Tuomas, Yameki and their friend Mariko. Instead of nomihōdai T.G.I Friday's had a "limu"hōdai hahah (limu = soda in finnish).

On the right is some avocado dumplings I had as a snack in some bar. Can you already tell I friggin' love avocados :DD

Left: Deep fried "closed down" pizza aka panzerotti which I had somewhere in Harajuku and it was quite weird but tasted OK.

Right: Steak at a restaurant in Venus Fort, Odaiba. You could choose rice or bread with it, which I thought was super weird since the meal already had potatoes in it... like... why do I need two side dishes? Also the blue lights made it look like you were eating in a toilet with drug preventing UV lights, lol.

As much as I love different salads, the ones I ate in Japan were quite.. meh. These were still close to what I'm used to having when I'm ordering a salad, but often it was more like just having grated vegatables. Maybe making salads isn't one of japanese people's strong points.

Anyways, that's what I ate during my month in Tokyo. What's your favourite japanese foods?Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-28881130342088623012015-03-14T10:54:00.003+02:002015-03-14T10:54:58.327+02:00OOTD: crimped hair & camo print

Can I just start by saying I love, love, love this hair? :D It's crimped, it's messy, it's huge and it will be perfect for the next summer, atleast in my opinion! I've been wanting to try a triple barrel curling iron for a while now and I finally bought one earlier this week! In case you want to know, it's by OBH Nordica and it cost me 29,90€ so it wasn't a big investment at all.

I love curly hair, but what annoys me with regular curls is how fast they will straighten out. I'm excited to see how well these will do, especially when it's raining or the weather gets catastrophic in some other way. I've been wearing my hair like this since Tuesday evening and it looks pretty much the same even now so yay, so far so good.

I think I will try out some hairdos with this texture in my hair. I wonder how it will look like?

This is because I don't want to make the list too long (and list the same things in every outfit post I write, haha).

I love to see collection posts (about anything, makeup, shoes, hair producst, you name it) in other blogs, so I decided to write this post about my jewelry collection! I tried to remember where I've gotten each one from, but if I didn't remember the brand, I listed some other place where or way how I've gotten it.

Here's what's in my jewelry box!

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">CHOKERS

I'm a 90's kid so my love for chokers is obvious. Couple of these I've had for years and they've been dearly loved, but I'm especially happy how the tattoo chokers have been brought back in fashion lately!

I loved how easy it was to find different chokers from Japan, so the five bottom ones and the white GOH choker are buys from my last trip.

FAVOURITE ONE: The black Ghost of Harlem choker. I've been wearing it for years, it hasn't lost it's colors at all and I still love it to bits. Ghost of Harlem is probably my favourite brand when it comes to jewelry. Their designs are nice, the prices are affordable (about 20-40€/each) and they don't lose their colors in daily wear (with the exception of the black/silver cross on the left of the picture below). I hate when accessories turn to orange, ugh.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">LONG NECKLACES

What can I say, I love crosses :D I'm not religious in any way, but I love the way they look. I noticed almost all of my longer necklaces are black or gun metal colored (except the YVSF one). Maybe I should target other colors in the future?

FAVOURITE ONE: I'm having hard time deciding between the silver sequin cross by GLAVIL and the black triple chain cross from Ghost of Harlem... I've had the GOH necklace for longer and therefore worn it a lot more, so I guess I'll have to go with that one.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">SHORT NECKLACES

The short necklaces I own, come in many different colors and themes, unlike the long ones. The style of the gold necklace with the colorful stones is something I haven't felt comfortable wearing before, but I kinda fell it love with this style last summer and had to get it :'D See a pic of me wearing it here. I really like it!

Not related to this pic maybe, but I've been wanting to get some rosegold jewelry as well, but that would also mean I have to buy the whole set (necklace, some rings and preferably a jacket/bag/etc with details in same color) to get started, so haven't gotten to it yet... :D Maybe someday.

FAVOURITE ONE: The silver double chain necklace with a cross, coins and fleur de lys -symbols by Ghost of Harlem. An absolutely gorgeous piece. Love, love, love. The cross also has Jesus on it, it's a fun detail :'D

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">RINGS & EARRINGS

This pic made me realize how small my ring collection is and how I'm desperately in need of silver rings! Why is it that I mostly buy silver necklaces, but almost all of my rings are gold?? My shopping clearly knows no logic at all. And I believe silver and gold are not to be mixed together when it comes to accessories.

I also want to say I was disappointed with the quality of the twin rings by Wildfox. They started losing their color and got some really visible scratches really quickly. Luckily I got these from sale, so it was no big loss.

I also included my earrings in this pic, because I usually only wear piercing jewelry and therefore only have a few pairs. I do have holes in my ears for these kinds of earrings as well, but most of the time I don't bother wearing them because I prefer my having my hair down and they wouldn't be visible anyway.

FAVOURITE ONE: The silver ring with a blue eye in it. I got it from my friend, Tuomas, who originally got it from his friend, who got it from somewhere in Harajuku. It has traveled far :D He didn't want it anymore, so I gave it a new home. It's been my favourite for years now and it's hard to find one I would like more.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">BRACELETS

I like studs and I like leather, preferably combined. The studs of the monomania bracelet are quite extreme and really sharp, but it looks sooo nice! When I first started wearing this, I accidentally stabbed people when hugging them :'D Now I've learnt that I have to use only one hand when doing so, hahaha.

I've never been a watch -person, but I got this one from Yver Rocher as a gift when I purchased some cosmetics... :D I think it looks nice with sporty outfits! I still don't know how to check time from it though and I'll always check it from my phone anyway.

My wrists are really thin so it's usually impossible for me to wear bracelets that don't allow you to change it's circumference. This is why I don't have any "hard" bracelets that you just slip on to your wrist. They will fall off.

FAVOURITE ONE: The white GOH bracelet with studs, chains and a skull charm. So pretty. And it matches the GOH choker from the first pic!

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">GLASSES & SUNGLASSES

Well, not a jewelry but accessories anyway, so included them in this post. I love collecting sunglasses and regular glasses without prescription (nothing wrong with my eye sight) and here's what I've gathered so far.

I especially love round glasses and that's how many of my pairs are. I also prefer big glasses with thick frames over small and thin ones. The newest addition to my collection are the transparent Monki sunnies with green/blue mirror lenses.

On a sidenote, I can't stop laughing at my reflection in these glasses.... I tried to hide behind the curtain while taking the pic but as obvious it is, I failed, hahah.

FAVOURITE ONES: Wildfox Bel Air sunnies in white. Unlike the rings I talked about earlier, the quality of these are on point, and luckily so. I drooled over these for a good couple years before I invested in them and they are sooo cool! One of my favourite items ever.

That's it! Do you have any jewelry or accessory item you like to collect? I would also like to know how you store your accessories! I currently have hooks for my necklaces that work just fine, but everything else is a huge mess. Any suggestions?Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com23tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2110453360268681406.post-32269354090766844072015-03-07T19:11:00.000+02:002015-03-07T19:11:34.771+02:00My thoughts on Lime CrimeI hope you're not sick of me talking about Lime Crime yet. Altough, this one won't be a review but some thoughts I've had about the current incident with the personal information losses with those who purchased from their site and the about Lime Crime as a company in general.

Many of you have probably read this post, that was published earlier this week by a fellow Finnish blogger, Rose Shock. It's a very good post, so if you haven't, I suggest you go read it first. But I still felt like I had to put my two cents in.

I've always been an "I believe it when I see it" -kind of person (stupid? maybe), so even though I was aware of the rumors surrounding this company when I purchased from them, because none of my friends or none of the people I actually know, had had any problems with them, I saw no reason not to give them a try. (But I later found out that Malle, who ordered her black velvetine at the same time as I made my order, had experienced cracking with the product).

The products seemed great to me and that's how I decided to make an order (16th of Jan). The unicorn lipsticks and the velvetines I bought, were my
first purchase and experience with them product and company wise.

3rd of Feb: I was anxious to get my stuff, because I hate waiting lol. The
shipping was delayed with a week from the purchasing date because they had a
huge number of orders to fullfil or what-so-ever. Turns out my order
arrived two days after I complained about it...

Anyway, though the shipping took agonizing 3 weeks (which in my books is a long time), I was happy with the products (also, please keep in mind that my posts only reviewed the products themselves and not the company behind them).

Even if I was lucky and everything went pretty much as it should, some people weren't and have had serious problems with the company, having their credit card info stolen etc. Luckily I used PayPal and therefore was unaffected by it. The damage caused by the incident is not to something to be ignored and I feel so sorry for those who lost huge amounts of money and to whom it may have caused dramatic changes in their lives.

What bothers me, is I don't really know what Lime Crime is doing to fix the situation?? Except for changing their webshop platfrom and sending the letter below to their customers, but is it enough to regain a customer's trust?

Who is this Mark person anyway, I thought Doe was the president?

I also got the letter because I shopped at their store during the said period of time. I don't know what it would've said if I was affected though... Has any of you got their credit card info stolen? I hope not, but if so, I'd like to know what has happened after that.

These things are serious and it has definitely given me a good lesson to be careful when shopping online, because things like this might happen! I'm more than sure I'll continue paying with PayPal because I want to be safe.

Anyway, getting your money stolen is way more serious than my problems, but there's something that caught my attention and made me feel scammed and pissed. Wicked is the product I've used the most since recieving them and I just noticed something weird. Take a look:

I've honestly used it like 5 times and this is how much I have left!! I decided to check the site, but the info about the quantity of product in each tube is nowhere to be found. Next I checked the packaging and there's the TINIEST EVER print that says 2,6ml, which a normal person can't really even see without a magnifying glass. So, I've literally paid $20 for a few drops of lipstick PER PRODUCT. This is what makes me angry. For comparison, the liquid lipstick by Jeffree Star has 5,6ml for $18.

I decided to check the amount of product in the unicorn lippies too. 3,5g for $18. Okay, that sounds more reasonable, because for example MAC has 3g and NYX has 4,5g and a regular lipstick runs out much slower anyway.

BUT! While taking a closer look, I noticed something weird in these too. Take a look below:

Both have been applied twice, but I feel the amount of product is really uneven in these, and this is something I didn't even notice until now. I really doubt they're both 3,5g.

After all, I feel a bit disappointed with the company. I really liked the products, but I also know, there's a lot of people who will judge you if you show any kind of support towards them and I don't really know how I should feel about that. I don't want fingers pointing at me, calling me a bad person for purchasing a makeup product. I personally don't see anything wrong with it if you want to buy a lipstick that works and have a way to be safe when getting it (buying from other seller and/or using PayPal), even if it's kind of supporting the company.... idk. Many of you might feel differently about it. I still think the judging fingers should be pointing at Lime Crime, not the customer.

I've been drooling over LC's Venus palette for a long time, but haven't gotten my fingers on it yet, because it's constantly out of stock. And there's no way I'm paying 200€ for it in eBay. When finding out the amount of product in these lipsticks, I started thinking what if the Venus palette is also something you can use like five times and then run out? This is making me reconsider dupes for it because I know those exist, but I was kinda hoping to get a whole palette and not having to buy separate eyeshadows... I don't really know what I should do about it.

ANYWAY, long story short: stolen credit card infos and other problems suck, small amounts of product for expensive prices suck, people trying to guilt other customers who use their products also suck ass big time. I was happy about the quality of the products and no, I won't throw them out and I will keep on using them until they run out (which might be sooner than I'd like). Then I'll probably try out some other brand and hope it will be better.Viivi Vanessa R.http://www.blogger.com/profile/05554204436802874653noreply@blogger.com32
