Hi and welcome! This is Black Saliva, a style focused blog written by Viivi Vanessa R.

I'm a 24 year old girl from Helsinki, Finland and this blog is my own little space on the internet where I can share my thoughts, outfits and write a bit about my life and stuff that I do.

For first timers, I'd say take a quick look at ABOUT ME and get to know me a little before browsing through my posts.

Anyway, I hope you like my blog and leave me a comment.

Enjoy your stay!

No, I'm not that addicted to social media that I couldn't put my phone away when taking outfit photos. The reason why I'm holding it, was because I was testing the new amazing feature of my new camera! My new Olympus PEN Lite E-PL7 has this feature where you can use your smartphone as a remote for your camera and take pictures of yourself, while checking from your phone's screen how you look like! Pretty amazing, huh? I feel like taking outfit photos just got ten times easier. Anyway, this is an all-black outfit I wore on 9th of January.

When deciding whether you should buy a certain piece of clothing, my mom always used to tell me that I should wait, if I wasn't 100% sure. But I dare to disagree. That's exactly what happened to me with this prettiest kimono I've ever laid my eyes on.

When UNIF first released it, I fell in love, but thought I should wait a bit and buy it later. And I've never regretted anything so much in my life (ok I'm exaggerating, just a litte bit). It sold out everywhere and I was left crying because I didn't freaking buy it. I waited for months and hoped they would restock it and decided if they ever did, I would get it no matter what.

On black friday, THEY DID!!! And the best part was, that it was 40% off  too! I cried tears of happiness and ordered it right away.

I finally recieved it and as I already said, it truly is the prettiest thing ever made. BUT, I must admit it's not the most practical piece of clothing for a shortie like me (165cm, hello) because the long fringe at the hem and sleeves sometimes get in the way when you do stuff. If I'm not wearing heels, I will step on it while going up the stairs and it's pretty much impossible to go to the toilet and do your business while you're wearing this. The fringe will get everywhere... you know, ugh.

But I don't care, it's still the prettiest thing in my wardrobe and I wouldn't change a thing. I feel like I can cast some spells while wearing this and I love it!

  6. Love it and the whole look is great with your gorgeous hair. I'm the same, I wait for something, then cry when it sells out! My family get so annoyed with me, but I know they would if I bought it right away too! That sounds like the coolest thing ever with your phone/camera. I've still never bought a remote, but was thinking about it, but it still wouldn't let me see how the photo turned out unlike your phone. I'd still be running back and forth!

tell your family you can always sell it if you later feel like it was a mistake to buy something. better be safe than sorry!

yeah, it's a really cool feature to have in a camera! i was thinking about buying a remote for my other camera earlier, but i'm glad i didn't because this works so much better :)

  8. Ugh ärsyttää niin paljon, että tollasia lirttiasioita kutsutaan nykyisin kimonoiksi... Kulttuuriappropriaatiota parhaimmillaan.

  10. "Shortie" lmao you're exactly the height of an average female. Ain't even seen short. You don't even know what it's like for real shorties!! Anyway, love the outfit. Glad you got it after all.. I know that feeling of regret when something you really really want is sold out everywhere a bit too well.. :P

    1. thank you so much!<3
i don't think their pricing is that bad actually :) i mean, obviously it's expensive if you're used to buying your clothes from h&m or other big chains, but unif's prices are still affordable in my opinion. and their designs are super nice so i'm willing to pay for that.
also, if you keep your eyes open, you can buy their stuff on sale quite often ^^
